The donation will help students will provide tennis shoes to low-income students at M. Middle School. Do you remember what it was like to put on a new pair of shoes? Children of poverty often don't get to have this happen. They are given tennis shoes that belong to an older brother or sister or they are purchased at a resale shop. There is nothing wrong with hand-me-downs, however, having this be a norm year after year can be an emotional burden some students carry too often. New shoes for you would provide shoes at no financial cost to M. Middle School Students. Students would fill out an application and provide a "pay it forward" rationale for being gifted a new pair of tennis shoes. The timeline for this project would be at the start of the semester when new students start physical education. We would continue the project until funds were depleted. Students would be able to fully participate in physical education class, after school team sports and recess activities. Having these shoes would give them a better opportunity to live a healthy lifestyle in all aspects of life.
