As the school nurse for a student body of 1200+, it is very difficult to get all the children screened for height, weight and body mass index among other responsibilities. This has a particular impact when medication dosing is to be given and the only reliable scale is located in the gym. This requires the student and nurse to travel to another part of our building for an accurate weight when one is not available. With the Health-o-Meter professional scale it will be much more efficient to screen all students and obtain up to date weights for medication dosing, particularly when the student is ill. This will allow for screenings to be completed and recorded for all children.
