Students learn best when they can have hands-on access to apply their learning. My chemistry class utilizes an adjoining lab space on a weekly basis. The current set-up for my lab has 8 group stations with 3 shared analytical balances. Without sharing equipment, only a few students would be able to do any of our lab experiments! Having additional balances allows me to create independent stations to maximize space and provide this experience to more of my students while still maintaining safety protocols. I want all of my students to have access to chemistry!
