The Covid-19 pandemic the past two years has deprived my students of the social and emotional fabric that is critical during their formative and highly influential developmental years; consequently causing lasting effects on their mental health and well-being. These effects include an inability to focus, anxiety, a lack of friendships, and, for younger kids, the inability to articulate how they are feeling. All of these adversely affect kids’ confidence and, ultimately, their ability to learn. I am asking for products from LEGO Education. By using products from LEGO Education, I can focus on the whole learner and help students develop holistic skills like communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity. Resources from LEGO Education will help advance my students’ learning by providing a way for them to naturally discover and engage in learning through learning experiences that bring subjects to life in the classroom and make learning fun and impactful. I believe my students would love and be thoroughly engaged in playful learning through LEGO Education. By using playful learning, I can focus on whole learner development. This approach combines learning outcomes, engagement, and collaboration in a cohesive and inspirational way that brings students together in what can not only foster a positive learning environment, but a highly productive one. When students are engaged, learning becomes more motivating, memorable, and meaningful. With LEGO Education, my students will benefit from opportunities to connect ideas, nurture creativity, and apply their knowledge and skills. I believe the impact of implementing this program could be far reaching and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to share it with my students to help them combat the effects of the pandemic.
