    Thank you! My class enjoys using the materials in their STEM bins at the start of our day. It has improved attendance and punctuality since students look forward to staring their day with "play". I have also noticed how the STEM activities have helped my students develop a sense of community and collaboration skills. I enjoy watching my students work together to create various things. I love watching my students' creativity and intelligence at work when they work together to build amazing things. My 4th graders and I are truly appreciative of the supplies donated to our classroom that have become our class' STEM bins.”

  • Organization Supplementation Part 2

    Thank you very much for making this project possible. The Organization Supplementation project provided bins for us to organize books for Spanish guided reading groups and math manipulatives. The items helped me organize the classroom better, because it was very cluttered when I first arrived. The students were very amazed when they came in to school once everything was set in place. They stated that the classroom felt refreshing and spacious. The organization of these books also helped me support their growth in Spanish reading because I was able to start guided reading groups with them. My students went from having a negative attitude towards Spanish to trying their best to speak and read it.

    The students also benefitted from the large timer to help them stay on task and complete their assignments. The class as a whole had writing as an area for improvement. I was able to model exactly what their writing should look like with the large lined paper magnet. Thank you again donors!”

My students love reading! Unfortunately, the time allotted for reading time is often consumed by searching for a good book that is challenging yet enjoyable. The purpose of this project is to make our routines more efficient so students can get to the important part-READING- and benefit from the practice. This organization project would allow me to sort books by levels for students to easily find what they need. Many of my students are reading at different levels in Spanish. In order to target and develop my students' literacy needs I started several reading groups. The project would also help make transitions between groups a lot smoother.
