Always Charged and Ready to Learn
Funded Jan 19, 2021During this very difficult year with face coverings and social distancing, movement within the classroom is restricted and accurate seating charts must be maintained in case of contact tracing. As a result, access to an outlet can be restrictive when a student is sitting in the middle of the room. Having the Halo portable charger with an AC outlet built in has been very helpful. Students are able to stay in their assigned seats regardless of location and have access to a charge for their device.
Thank you so much for your support. :)”

Clean Air and Clear Visuals
Funded Jan 28, 2021During this difficult year filled with masks and social distancing, my students were brought a bit of comfort thanks to your support. The classroom purifier gives us that extra piece of mind that the air is being cleaned and that it will hep in preventing unnecessary illnesses. Having additional filters lets us know that we are covered through the end of the school year.
Having an extra monitor in my classroom has greatly helped me see all of my online students on one screen during our Zoom meeting while I'm able to view the screen I'm sharing.
Thanks you s much for your support. :)”

Distance Learning with a MAC
Funded Sep 23, 2020During these difficult times the need for technology has greatly increased. Teachers were now expected to have technology that would handle the workload of hosting Zoom meeting with 40 students. It was clear from the very start that the laptop I had could not handle the work load and as a result I would encounter many interruptions to my lesson. I had a need for a computer that could handle multiple windows running at the same time all while hosting a Zoom lesson. Ever since I have received the iMac computer I have noticed a huge difference in the delivery of my math lessons. My computer was not overheating like my previous one and there were no longer the interruptions that I experienced with my previous computer. I am truly grateful for the stress free days that have resulted with the access afforded to me by generous donors like you.”

Funded Aug 9, 2020Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom this year. As you may have heard many of our students are learning from home so the need for technology has increased this year. It has become the job of the teacher to engage students that are learning from home and we need every advantage to accomplish this task.
I am so grateful that I have access to a microphone that allows for a crisper sound. It is difficult for students to remain engaged if they are struggling to hear you, so having a better sounding lesson has been a huge improvement to my lessons.
Another issue I was having is writing on the computer screen the math problems that we were practicing. With the help of a graphics tablet I am now able to discuss written out problems and show the work necessary to get to the answer. It has not been an easy year but with the help of amazing donors like you I now have the tools at my disposal to be most effective.”

Funded Oct 19, 2019Thanks to your generous donations my students now has access to a color printer. Having the printer in class has allowed me to print colorful notes, and posters. If a student is absent I'm able to now quickly make a copy of the notes they missed. Furthermore, the students now have the ability to make colorful copied for their project. Not only do I allow students to print information from my class but I also allow students to use the printer to print projects for other classes. It should make all my donors feel good that as a result of their donation none of my students have to feel bad about not having access to a printer at home. I cant thank you guys enough. :)”

Funded Oct 9, 2019Thanks to your generous donation my students now have access to technology before school and during class. Some students do not have access to the internet at home so having the tablets before school is a great way to have them show up and complete their homework. At times, during class, we have assignments that involve technology; those students without a device of their own no longer feel left out. Overall, the impact of this donation has been highly positive for all students.
Kind regards,
Mrs. Lalababayev”
