  • Achieving Well-Being through Fitness and Mindfulness

    Funded Jan 16, 2025

Thank you so much for taking the time to donate to our classroom project. The students were so excited to see all the exercise equipment that were ordered for the classroom, especially since our school does not have an in person physical education class. They were shown how to correctly use the bands and are free to grab one after I am done teaching the lesson for the day.

The ability to use the equipment purchased for the classroom by donors like yourself has been received by the students in a positive way. Thet are not forced to use the equipment and only grab it if they are in the mood.

    Thanks again for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lalababayev

  • Math Support for Curious Learners

    Funded Sep 22, 2024

Thank you so much for taking the time to support our math classroom. Please know that this project had a great impact on our learning within the classroom. The treats you have purchased helps motivate students to attempt answering questions more frequently. They really love the Hi-Chew candies the most.

Students have also greatly benefited from the Teacher Pay Teacher resources. The material that was purchased is truly supplementing the classroom textbook nicely. Students are able to have access to pre-printed guided notes along with additional practice problems.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lalababayev

  • Sitting and Relaxing Mindfully

    Funded Sep 4, 2024

Thank you so much for taking the time to donate to our Mindful Club project. The students have used the supplies received in a variety of ways. Some used the floor cushions to be more comfortable during a body scan meditation.

Students have also gained comfort from holding the weighted bears and lap blanket. They seem to really enjoy having something on their lap while they are working. It seems to bring some of them a sense of safety. We have also used the bears as a way of sharing our feelings for the day, as the bear gets passed around from one individual to the next.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lalababayev

  • Catapult Construction for STEM

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

Thank you for taking the time to donate to our classroom project. The project that you helped bring to life involved building catapults. Students were given the supplies you assisted us in purchasing and were told to research and then construct a Catapult that would launch a pom-pom at least 10 ft.

When the students walked in the classroom and found out they were building a catapult they were super excited to get started. The amount of collaboration that occurred between students was amazing to witness. The most amazing part of this activity is that the students that are not the high performing ones on a regular basis had a chance to shine with this hands-on activity.

This is all thanks to all the donors that helped contribute to make this project a reality.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lalababayev

It is my wish to provide my students with access to technology. I would like to incorporate the use of personal devices into my classroom math lessons, but am currently unable to do so because some students do not have a personal device. My goal is to strengthen their math skills by giving them opportunities to achieve through engaging interactive online activities. These activities will provide students with opportunities to either remediate their math skills or to excel in their mathematical understanding. The tablets will also be available before school for my students to complete the district required math lessons through the "i-ready" online program.
