In a technological world, sometimes it is hard to get students into reading. By purchasing these books for the classroom, it allows my students to be exposed to more types of literature. . By purchasing these books, it allows not only the love of reading to grow in my students, but also give students an opportunity to read things that they like as well. Diary of a Wimpy Kid and the Magic Tree House Series are a great way to engage students and get them interested in reading during their independent reading time. The Nonfiction set exposes all of my students to this type of genre in which they usually would not choose when selecting independent reading selections.
