  • Read 2 Lead!

    Funded Apr 11, 2023

My Scholars have excelled greatly in Financial Mathematics. Thank you so kindly for your help and support with funding our project that has expanded the financial thinking of my Scholars as young as 5 years old.

The Scholars have been able to not only use the knowledge and experience of purchasing power in class they have shared their knowledge and abilities in their everyday life with their families when in the store.

They have loved the real world store I have been able to set-up in our learning environment.”

    With gratitude,

    Teacher Cameron

  • Mustangs Math Team 1st Time @ State

    Funded Mar 16, 2022

I was not to share the full Impact of my Project until the Scholars actually competed. It was a MAJOR Success. My Scholars that qualified for Math State Competition were excited to have their own personal TI N'Spire Calculators and resources to compete effectively and efficiently without any damage to their screens. They also were enthusiastic that they ALL had the same uniformed resources for competition.

They were so thrilled to have the ability to practice their calculations not ONLY in school but at home too to ensure they were prepared for the Middle School State Competition being their first time to ever compete in any Academic Competition and go ALL the way to State.

They ALL placed in the State and received recognition at the Awards Ceremony. I look forward to continuing the Legacy of having Scholars prepared for State Level Academic Competitions now in the West Side of our School District.”

  • Financial Literacy: A Brain-Based Learning Class All Families Need!

    Funded Sep 15, 2022

The impact of your generosity of donating to my Financial Literacy Project has afforded my young scholar the opportunity to understand currency and identify coins from the form and back. My Gifted and Talented Scholars have excelled faster than the average K and 1st grade students in counting the value of money in all denominations of coins or dollar bills. It has helped the 1st Grade Scholars learn to count by 5's and 10's.

The Cash Registers were used to create a store in class and allow the Scholars to be a business owner and a consumer.

The greatest impact of surprise was how intrigued the Middle School Scholars were when seeing the Financial Literacy Units Stations and they began to use it to help increase their understanding of finances and making accurate change with their purchases in stores. It was a HUGE WIN for ALL Scholars at West Dallas STEM School.

I look forward to extending this Project next year.”

  • Calming Corner in Cameron's Compassion Center with Clean Refreshing Air!

    Funded Sep 30, 2021

My Scholars remain in dismay of the compassion of others. This has helped my Scholars greatly during and after the National Pandemic. My Scholars are still grateful for ALL that you helped me accomplish for my Scholars to let them know they are Cared for and Supported during this time and beyond.

Many of my Scholars are now in High School and asking could they come to my Compassion Corner because they now realize that I Truly cared and had the Support of Donors that cared right along with me.

    I AM Oh so Grateful!

    In His Service,

    J.R. Cameron”

  • Good Choices ~ Good Things Happen {PBIS}

    Funded Sep 6, 2021

My apologies for the delay in my response. I have had major life circumstances that occurred within a very small window of 45 days. I and my Scholars are so grateful for the unwavering support that has been bestowed to my Scholars and our classroom learning environment.

Your gratitude in the aftermath of losing both of my parents within 45 days of each other has been the glue that has held my classroom together this year. I know that the impact of being able to reward my Scholars for being Model Citizens in the Classroom and throughout the campus making choices and decisions that would render us all EXTREMELY PROUD!

They speak about how Good Choices are not lame and that receiving the PBIS Incentives is proof that being Kind and doing the right thing "Integrity" is NOT at ALL Lame and they appreciate being recognized for positive actions when so very much of the school day addresses on focuses on correcting improper behavior or actions.

Thank you! Thank You! Thank you! You have been the support that we all needed as I experienced some of lives most difficult circumstances all at once.”

    With gratitude,

    Teacher Cameron

    Funded Jan 18, 2022

Thank you so much for your gratitude and donations to fund thus project to help my scholars organization skills and my displays of their EXCEPTIONAL work of Mastery proportions.

This last assessment they performed phenomenally in comparison to our other schools in the Network. I can NOT wait to get them setup in organized manner with COVID safety protocols.”

  • See the Inner Me NOT as Others See 3!

    Funded Sep 30, 2021

Thank you for your generosity and kindness in helping me bring to life my Math Literacy project. Reading is fundamental and important in ALL subject areas, However, reading books with characters that scholars can identify makes the reading all the better for their learning and self-awareness. The Inne ME Not as Others See was a Major success last year and scholars are still speaking about the experience. Again we thank you!”

  • Saving and Spending {3}!

    Funded May 26, 2021

We are using the new resources to create the Financial Life Spending Plan Books. They had already started their College planning and funding options for college. having these resources have assisted them in understanding the significance of not only creating a Budget but sticking to the Spending Plan.

They have started tracking scholarship options and submitting for scholarships already in middle school. Once having played the game allowance they developed smarter ways of utilizing their own allowance and Pay Day as they plan to earn money this Summer Session.

The Real-Life Cash Registers have been a huge hit. The banker of the class has become extremely serious about Pay Day for the students when they earn class currency by completing various Learning Activities throughout the Pay Period of every 2 weeks. They did NOT enjoy the monthly pay period as teachers receive. It has been a tone of fun and I can not wait to order a Budgeting set to do the same next year.

Thank you again for your support.”

  • Saving and Spending! {1}

    Funded May 31, 2021

My Scholars were so excited to see the shipment of supplies for the Summer Financial Literacy Projects and the opportunity to see their own financial Planning come to life with the support of items in this project. They have already begun to plan their Financial Life projects for next year due to the overwhelming generosity of supporters like you in ALL of our Personal Financial Literacy Projects.

They have started the College Planning and Cost portion of their 2 year Cap Stone Projects. Many have already found over $10,000 in scholarship money and they are tracking their resources in preparation to add to it this next year.”

COVID-19 has created severe limited finances and resources for obtaining additional school supplies to be purchased at home or for distribution with ALL the few remaining school supplies in a building, we no longer have access. My students will be able to continue to create quality work in Mathematics, Science, Art, and Math Competitive Team wherein ALL Contents ~ MISTAKES are Expected, Inspected, and Corrected by having access to material that is not consumable, however, erasable and reusable. The Frixion system of writing tools affords my scholars' and I the continuous opportunities for teaching and learning using creativity and originality with color in note-taking during our Live ZOOM Class Sessions and independent work on their Learning Activities. Frixion allows the continued ability for Scholars to maintain the use of strategies and procedures needed for Special Needs learning comprehension and understanding, such as highlighting their problems to show evidence of their thinking using the proper strategies for Math, such as CUBES. However, the average highlighter once marked is permanent and students would need to use a different color for corrections where I am generally right there in class and able to oversee the errors and talk about the reasons for the change and their thinking. In my Distant Learning Project of 'Write, Create, Erase, and Take A Hand Break!' my Scholars will be able to clearly erase and correct any errors in notes or/and assignments. The use of colors allows them to the correct steps of the activity by identifying their accuracies and corrections, especially with Geometry equations and substitution. They're having the ability to erase and I am able to identify errors or mistakes with ease clearly and precisely without the wrong markings being a part of their final response. Greatly enhancing ALL Scholars' clarity of thinking and understanding.
