Concept Development with Creative Curriculum
Funded Dec 17, 2024From the bottom of our hearts, and with the boundless enthusiasm only preschoolers can muster, we want to express our sincere gratitude for your incredible generosity to our pre-K classroom. Your thoughtful gifts of a toy washer and dryer, books, playdough, glue, and recycling materials have already made a significant impact on our learning environment and the children's development.
The toy washer and dryer has been a runaway hit! It's amazing to see how such a seemingly simple addition can spark so much imaginative play. Our children are constantly reenacting scenes from home, washing and drying their play clothes, and learning about responsibility and routine. They're developing essential social skills, like sharing and cooperation, as they take turns being "mommy" or "daddy" doing laundry. Beyond the fun, this activity is also building their vocabulary and language skills as they describe what they're doing and engage in pretend conversations. We've witnessed firsthand how this seemingly simple toy fosters creativity, problem-solving, and a sense of ownership within our classroom.
The new books you provided have opened up a world of adventure and discovery for our young readers, supporting our Recycling and Clothing units, as well as the needs of our English language learners. We've been transported to faraway lands and met fascinating characters. Reading aloud is a crucial part of our daily routine, and your generous donation has enriched our library and expanded the children's access to diverse and engaging stories. These books are not just fostering a love of reading; they're also building crucial pre-literacy skills, expanding their vocabulary, and nurturing their imaginations. We see their eyes light up with wonder as we turn the pages, and we know these stories will stay with them long after they leave our classroom.
The playdough, glue, and recycling materials have unleashed a wave of creativity in our classroom. These supplies are essential for hands-on learning and exploration. The children are constantly experimenting with different textures, colors, and shapes. They're developing fine motor skills as they roll, cut, and mold the playdough, and they're learning about cause and effect as they experiment with different ways to combine materials. The glue has facilitated countless art projects, allowing the children to express themselves through collages, drawings, and other creative endeavors. And the recycling materials have introduced them to the importance of sustainability and resourcefulness. They're learning to think critically about how we can reuse and repurpose materials, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility.
Your generous donations have truly transformed our classroom into a vibrant and engaging learning space. You haven't just given us toys and supplies; you've invested in the future of these children. You've provided them with opportunities to learn, grow, and develop essential skills that will serve them well throughout their lives. We are so grateful for your support and your belief in the power of early childhood education. Your kindness has made a real difference in the lives of our students, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We invite you to visit our classroom anytime to see firsthand the impact of your generosity.”

Funded Jan 11, 2025Words cannot fully express the depth of our gratitude for your incredible generosity in providing our preschool classroom with flesh-toned bandages and clothing organization bins. Your thoughtful gifts have already made a significant impact, creating a more inclusive and organized learning environment for our precious students. We are truly touched by your commitment to supporting early childhood education and fostering a sense of belonging for every child in our care.
The donation of flesh-toned bandages is particularly meaningful. For young children, representation matters. Seeing bandages that match their own skin tone, or the skin tones of their friends, reinforces a sense of value and inclusion. It sends a powerful message that all skin colors are beautiful and worthy of care. These bandages aren't just for scrapes and cuts; they're for building self-esteem and fostering a sense of belonging within our classroom community. They tell our children, "You are seen. You are valued. You belong." This seemingly small gesture speaks volumes to our young learners and contributes to a classroom culture where every child feels accepted and celebrated for their unique identity. We've already seen children pointing out the different shades of bandages, sparking conversations about diversity and celebrating the beautiful spectrum of skin tones in our classroom. Your gift has opened up a valuable dialogue and helped us create a space where every child feels comfortable and confident in their own skin.
Your generous donation of clothing organization bins has also transformed our classroom. Previously, our cubbies were a little disorganized. Students' extra clothing was just in bags, which made it difficult to stack belongings. Additionally, clothing was getting mixed up between cubbies. The new bins have brought a sense of calm and order to this important area of our classroom. Now, each type of clothing and accessory has its designated place, making it easy for children to find what they're looking for and clean up when they're finished playing.
This newfound organization has had a ripple effect throughout the classroom. It has freed up valuable teacher time, allowing us to focus more on individual interactions with students and less on managing clutter. It has also empowered our students to take ownership of their space and develop important organizational skills. When children can easily find what they need and know where to put things away, they develop a sense of responsibility and contribute to a more harmonious classroom environment.
Thank you again for your incredible generosity. Your gifts of flesh-toned bandages and clothing organization bins have had a profound and lasting impact on our preschool classroom. You have not only provided us with essential supplies, but you have also instilled a sense of belonging and empowered our students to learn and grow in a more inclusive and organized environment. Your support is invaluable, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to our young learners. We hope you know that your kindness has made a real difference in the lives of our children, and we are so fortunate to have you as a partner in our mission to provide high-quality early childhood education. We are truly grateful for your support and hope you will continue to be a part of our preschool family.”

The hot glue has been a lifesaver for securing our crafts and building sturdy structures. Our laminating pouches have allowed us to preserve our artwork and create durable learning materials.
Your donation of snacks has been a delightful surprise for my students. They have enjoyed the treats during our snack time and have been extra motivated to learn. Your thoughtfulness has helped create a positive and nurturing environment in our classroom.

Music plays a vital role in early childhood development, fostering creativity, cognitive skills, and emotional well-being. The instruments you donated have already had a profound impact on our classroom. Our students are thrilled to explore new sounds, rhythms, and melodies. They are learning to collaborate, express themselves creatively, and build confidence through music.
I'd like to take a moment to highlight some of the specific ways your donation has benefited our students:

Funded Aug 8, 2024We are writing to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of nap blankets and a laundry basket to our classroom. Your thoughtful gift will make a significant difference in the comfort and well-being of our students.
The nap blankets have been a wonderful addition to our nap time routine. They help provide our little ones with a cozy and inviting place to rest, helping them to feel safe and secure. We know that these blankets will be cherished by our students for years to come.
The laundry basket is a practical and essential item that will help us keep our classroom organized and tidy. It will make it much easier for us to collect and launder our students' blankets, ensuring that they are always clean and fresh.
Your generosity has truly touched our hearts. We are so grateful for your support of our classroom and our students. Thank you again for your kindness.”

Puzzling Preschoolers
Funded May 8, 2024Thank you so much for helping restock our puzzle collection! Not only were our old puzzle ratty and missing pieces, but very few of them matched the units we work on through out the year.
Now we have lots of bright, new puzzles—with all the pieces!—to support literacy and math, but also yo go along with our trees, community, and buildings units.
I had planned to save them for next year as this year is almost over, but my current students were so excited to unbox them that we opened them up so we have something new and fun to play with for these last few weeks.”

Funded Mar 26, 2024Thank you for your donation to our Pre-K field trip to the aquarium! We had roughly an hour and 45 minutes to enjoy the aquarium, and thanks to these snacks we could spend every minute exploring and learning instead of stopping for lunch.
Students got to see all kinds of fish, sea turtles, hermit crabs, sea horses, sharks, otters, and more! They got to pet sting rays and jelly fish. They even got to explore a new exhibit where they could pretend to be marine veterinarians and take care of pretend animals. We were also able to relate our reduce, reuse, recycle unit to taking care of the earth and protecting sea life.
My team and I really appreciate you helping make this happen for our students.”

Giving Back With Art
Funded Jan 31, 2024Thank you so much, Allstate, for fully funding our project. We needed additional art supplies to create notes and gifts to say "Thank You!" to the medical workers in our area.
Pre-K did a unit on Community Helpers and learned all about different people who help our community run smoothly and efficiently. We spent extra time learning about the caretakers--police, firefighters, and doctors and nurses.
With the art materials that were purchased through Donors Choose, our students were able to create "Thank You" gifts for the caretakers in our neighborhood. We chose the fire stations, police station, and medical offices closest to us and delivered these heartfelt gifts to show our appreciation for the hard work those people do for our community.
This was such a cool project to complete with our kids. It can be hard to get such young children to understand gratitude for things they can't hold. This project definitely helped our student learn about gratitude and honoring the helpers.”

Funded Jan 20, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity and support. It means so much that you are willing to help give my kids what they need to be successful learners.
Children are far more engaged with materials that are printed in color. With this ink, I am able to print out pictures of the children, create dynamic and engaging activities and materials, and supply students with lots of colorful visual aides. My students can easily remember many of the different activities we completed--and the learning they did while having fun! They are able to complete matching and manipulative activities that I have printed out. Also, they have visual aides to help them remember what to do in class all throughout the day.
Thanks for helping bring learning to life through your support!”

A Snowy Break
Funded Dec 5, 2023I can't thank you enough for funding this project! I love to give my students books to take home with them during Winter Break, but it just wasn't going to be in the budget this year. I really appreciate your help in getting books into the hands of my students.
My students LOVED the Snowy Day books. We read the story together. I showed them the retelling props and our plush Peter. They love using these to help retell the story in our Library Center. We even used puffy-glue-paint to recreate a snowy scene from the story.”
