UNICEF Whitewings!

My students are ecstatic using the new attire they graciously received. My students are one hundred percent low income and do not have the luxury to go out and buy athletic wear to be outside. They finally receive attire that fits them and is new, only designed to fit them. We live in Texas and the heat is ridiculous. All student are proud to wear the dry fit shirts and shorts. This is the first time some students can actually participate with any type of physical activity because they can run and exercise without their bulky jean uniform. They strut proudly knowing that someone took the time to donate to them. They walk and walk and run to keep those wrist bands on the go knowing that all they activities helps bring food to someone else in need. We pay it forward and know what we all make a difference.

Once the box arrived at the campus, they were thrilled they wanted to try the clothes right there and there. I asked for permission to have my students wear the athletic wear that Friday. We are under a uniform only policy. The kids love being the ones privileged not to wear uniforms.

The current lesson was an all about science lesson. Students are allowed to wear their new uniform to have hands on learning when learning about physical science. We were able to stay cool, learn about science, keep fit and look good all at the same time.

Thank you sincerely.”

With gratitude,
