The next steps for my students in the current classroom is a have the student be able to collaborate and show that they are learning. • Spot My Emotions

    Funded Jul 6, 2023

The new text really is kid friendly and engaged all the students with the Spot as the main character.

Reading in my classroom is composed in different components. I do a teacher read aloud in the morning which is usually a chapter book. Students may go to the student library and read independently. I may also read a book that may be influenced by the students emotions. The first week of school there was anxiety evident on the students. I read the book on emotions on anxiety and it calmed the students emotions.

The shy students really enjoy the books on emotions. They seemed very glad when I read a book on the emotions they are feeling but do not want to share with others.”
