By helping us fund this project, my 5th graders will be ready and prepared to do well in the state exam. We will engage in interactive projects, enriching learning opportunities (science, math, ELA) according to the NYS academic goals. We will provide enough resources in Spanish such as books, interactive lessons to ensure students are exposed to academic Spanish. By funding this project, students will have access to a lot of audiobooks, children's literature to enhance their reading skills, make arguments, and engage in discussions while also refining previous learned skills, find ways to create independence and build and sustain a sense of community. After not being able to play with their friends at school, engage in discussions with peers in small groups, or come to school on a regular basis due to school closures, we hope to engage and try to overcome the loss and prepare them for the years ahead.
