My students have fun and learn at the same time while playing. When they first saw what was inside the boxes they cheered so loudly that another teacher came to close our door! Oops!

My students need to see themselves in our classroom literature. These beautiful, multi-cultural diverse books have been recommended as tried and true for use in classrooms. My classroom library needs better representation of various cultures, languages, and religions. Through this literature, students will be able to find themselves and also expand their world by seeing it from perspectives other than their own. As the world around us changes, students need to be taught acceptance, kindness, and empathy. These books will help focus class discussion around acceptance and celebration of each others differences and empower children to make our world better for all.
