Funded Jan 1, 2018The bulletin board paper was great because I am able to change the color. The students were so excited to get all these new materials. The construction I used to to make the students work stand out. Since in the classroom, we are required to put a white bulletin board paper.
We are working on a story called Harry the Dirty Dog and we were able to do work in this story. The very low students were able to trace the sentence "Harry the dirty dog." While the high functioning students were able to write what happened in the beginning, middle and end of the story. Then all the students colored Harry the dirty dog. I was able to display all their work and make the students proud of their work.
The students were so happy and excited. I have a student that loves all the different stickers. He asks me to give him a sticker by saying "sticker please". The students love having all the new crayons and markers. They love using all this materials to color and make their work beautiful. The pocket charts were so amazing because I was able to write sight words. The students can know review and learn their sight words.
The current lesson we are learning about is the teacher college we are readers curriculum. In this curriculum, the students are able to read words and learn how to share books. With the materials that were donated, students are able to write words or sentences on what they learned. Then the students can share their stories in the Author Chair. The students are so grateful and said thank you to all the donors. My students have new pencils, crayons, stickers, construction paper and many more. May God bless you all.”

Funded Feb 27, 2015My students were very happy. They were shocked when they saw all the new materials. We are using all these materials for centers. The sight words are wonderful because the children are learning them. In addition, this is helping my students learn to read.
The centers kit are amazing because the children are able to spell and write words. Children are learning words and this is expanding their vocabulary. The dry erase markers help the children practice their writing skills. The children are practicing words and their alphabet sounds.
These materials boost my teaching because I am able to have hands on materials in order for children to learn. Children love centers because they are able to work in pairs and learn from each other. My students have been able to learn their sight words, beginning sounds, middle sounds and how to form words. My children are very happy and grateful for this donation. Thank you so much for donating to my kindergarten classroom.”
