Our elementary school is a Title I school and a significant percentage of the students live in a one parent family in public housing. Many of my students do not have access to different reading resources as well as technology to have for them to be successful. Reading is a big key to improve their mind both psychologically and cognitively. Many of the students do not have access to technology tools at home and if they do, they do not have access to the internet or books at home. Because of this, students lack basic technology and reading skills. I would like to integrate more technology and an intensive reading program in the classroom to encourage growth for each student at their own level and their own pace!
