  • L is for Laminate

    Funded Oct 8, 2023

We now have communication books! The communication books often serve as a student's voice, so it is important that they are brought with them everywhere throughout the day. The laminating pouches have been used to laminate each page in our communication books to ensure that they last, and additionally, have helped us save valuable resources like printer ink and paper.

With your help, we have been able to make several communication books for students all over our large district. Your generosity is so deeply appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kylie

This classroom project was brought to life by The Allstate Foundation and one other donor.
  • Where’s My Voice?

    Funded Sep 19, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to this project. Your generosity has made a positive impact in my students' lives. The two label makers and extra labels have allowed us to print labels with student names. This has made it quick and easy to figure out who the device belongs to. The larger labels have been used to make labels that serve as reminders that an iPad is someone's voice and should always be accessible to the student. The colorful tags hang seamlessly from the handle or carrying straps of each device. The students have had so much fun picking the color of the tags!

Thanks again for helping my students always be able to "find their voice".”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kylie

This classroom project was brought to life by Charles Schwab and one other donor.

The iPad straps have been used to help my students carry their devices throughout the day and the screen protectors are being used to protect each iPad screen. Because of your kindness, our student's lives have improved because you have helped to provide them with essential materials to communicate with others!”

Thank you so much for donating to this project. Your generosity has made a large impact. The binders and ink that we received have been used to create colorful communication books for my students to interact with others and to meet their basic needs. The screen protectors have been used to protect my students' communication devices from breaks and cracks. These simple supplies are so valuable to us and your support has made a huge difference in the lives of my students!

    We greatly appreciate your kindness!”

  • Just in CASE

    Funded Apr 23, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to this project. Your generosity has had a large impact on the lives of my students. My students bring their communication devices everywhere with them. Accidents happen, and when they do, our students are left without any way to communicate! With your help, we now have the protection in place to prevent any damage and keep our students communicating! The colorful cases have also helped our students and teachers keep track of which device belongs to each student, and the carrying straps allow for easy transport!

We are so thankful for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kylie

I am a speech-language pathologist working in a large urban school district. Our district is located in a high poverty area and has a very tight budget. Therefore, materials and supplies are often hard to come by. I provide direct therapy to 50 wonderful children in self-contained classrooms from pre-k through second grade. They present with a wide range of communication delays and deficits that are both verbal and nonverbal in nature. My students require visual supports and strategies to enhance their understanding and support their language learning. We work together each day to provide a safe, respectful, happy, and nurturing community in the classrooms so learning can occur in the most effective way.
