  Thank you SO much for sending my students such BEAUTIFUL new books. It was such a joy to receive your packages. One of the clear favorites were the books from the Yazmin series. These books are just at the right level that kids can read and understand them, but they also have chapters and look like "big kid" books. Its so fun to see the pride and sense of accomplishment on a kids face when they read a real chapter book for the first time. Your gifts are really encouraging children to do the hard work of reading!”

  Thank you SO much for supporting our students in such a powerful way. Laundry detergent and toothpaste may seem like such simple things, but to some of our students your gifts meant they could come to school confident, clean, and ready to learn.

  These last years have been pretty tough on families and many families just need that extra bit of help. Thanks to you, they got it. Kids were so excited to see brand new toothbrushes and pick out their favorite color.

  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The books you sent us arrived very quickly. The kids just loved seeing a big stack of boxes arrive to our room. They were so curious to see what was in them and even more excited when they found out your boxes were filled with brand new beautiful books!

  One of the favorite books was called When Father Comes Home. A lot of kids could relate to the character who misses his dad while he is away working and earning money for the family. It was so validating for kids to read about a character just like them.

• A Comfy, Cozy Reading Nook Where Kids LOVE Reading!

  Thank you SO much for sending our kids the most beautiful little classroom! It has been so turbulent these last few years with COVID. Everything keeps hoping that things will get back to normal, but there are so many bumps along the way. That's way I wanted to make sure kids felt safe and at home when they are at school.   You all are like our very own magical cozy elves! Your jackets came in at JUST the right time. Today we had a big snow storm in Denver. When it is this cold outside, I know that the jackets and warm clothes kids are wearing are the best or only ones they have. So, it was such a blessing to see a kid with really thin clothes and whisk them away to go jacket shopping in the make-shift jacket store you sent us. The kids feel so proud of their new warm clothes and are so excited to show them off to their friends. Thank you for caring about our kids!”

• Fall in Love with Reading! Books to Eager Young Readers!

  Thank you! Your books came in and kids loved seeing the boxes and boxes of brand new books fill up our reading table. It is so fun to see kids light up when they get to be the very first person to read a book. One of the kids' favorite books is The Old Book. It's a simple but beautiful story of the life of one book. The words were just at the right level that the kids could read them and sound them out all by themselves. It is such a magical moment to see kids realize they really can pick up a new book and learn a new story all on their own!”

• Please HELP! Excited Kids Begging for New Books!

  The books you sent kids were a HUGE hit! They LOVED seeing the boxes of brand new books delivered to our classroom. One of the most favorite books you sent us was Hair Love. It's a beautiful and empathetic story of a young girl gaining confidence in herself and supporting her family through hard times. It is a story that many of students could connect with in some way. Reading stories like this help kids understand their own stories and feel encouraged and validated.

  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The kids LOVED the books you sent them. It was so fun for boxes of brand new books to get delivered right to our classroom. Of course as soon as kids saw the boxes they started asking what was in them and were super excited to see these these brand new books come out of the boxes. It was like a treasure chest opening!

  It is so amazing to see kids laying on the floor or siting at a desk and getting lost in a new book. This is what creates a life long love of reading ... and it's all thanks to you!”
