  • Rocking Reading Skills in Kindergarten

    Funded Jan 1, 2021

We wanted to write a letter to say thank you so much for your generosity. Your donation helped our class get all the books that were needed in order to teach Tara West's Kinder Literacy program. This program is a wonderful tool that I use during my reading instruction. It really helps the students grow their comprehension skills as well as grow their love of reading.

I want to give you a look inside my classroom. During our reading block we like to sit on the carpet and get cozy. Before the story I like to introduce vocabulary words to the students. After we read the story, I will ask questions about the text. This helps the students brush up on their comprehension skills. After that, we do a writing response page.

Thanks again for your donation! You have helped our class immensely :)”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nigro

  • Clean Air in Mrs. Nigro's Kindergarten Class

    Funded Feb 3, 2021

I wanted to send a letter of gratitude to say thank you for providing our class with an air purifier. This air purifier has been a life saver. With all the germs that are floating around between covid, the flu, and the common cold, this air purifier works hard by pulling out the yucky germs floating around in the sky. To be honest, my attendance has been better than most of the other kindergarten classes in my building. I definitely think it has a lot to do with this air purifier! Thank you so much for giving us an extra layer of protection! You are amazing!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Nigro

  • Work Hard Play Hard!

    Funded Feb 18, 2021

Thank you so much for your wonderful donations! This year has been one of the toughest years ever in my career of teaching. Your generosity provided my students with amazing recess bags that allowed us to be safe and have our own materials. The importance of having individual bags during the COVID-19 pandemic is sad but also very necessary.

The weather started to get nice and the students were anxious to go outside and play with the jump ropes, bubbles, chalk, and the Velcro catchers. Thanks again for supporting our classroom. You are the true hero!”

    Mrs. Nigro

  • Distance Learning Makes the Heart Grow Fonder!

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to this project! This project is extremely important to me because it provided me the tools I needed in order to teach my students during distance learning. Distance learning can be tough, especially when teaching kindergarten. I had to really think outside the box and think of ways that would engage my students and help them learn.

The students absolutely loved the story telling box as well as the journals. They were drawn to the story telling box because most of the stories were silly. The journals were helpful during phonics instruction. We would complete the journals whole group.

The printer is a blessing because I can print fun resources in color! I will be able to use the printer for years to come. Thanks again for your generosity! My class and I appreciate it so much!”

  • Financial Literacy Fanatics!

    Funded Sep 6, 2020

Thank you so much for your donation! I was so excited to get this project funded! After almost a year of being apart, my students came back to school for hybrid instruction! We got a chance to use most of the resources. The students loved the unicorn counters, and also enjoyed the resources I purchased with the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. One of the resources I purchased was Boom Cards. The Boom Cards are interactive task cards that are both fun and engaging.

I am happy to report that we will be going back to school full time starting April 6th! Me and my students are super excited that we will be together 5 days a week. I can finally use all the wonderful resources I have in my classroom! Thanks again for your kindness! You make my heart so happy :)”

  • Giving Closet 3.0

    Funded Sep 13, 2020

Thank you much for being such an amazing human being! The giving closet is near and dear to me because it helps a lot of our families at our school. The giving closet was a project that I started two years ago. It provides items to families in need such as: food, socks, underwear, toiletries, and laundry soap. The families can discreetly request and pick up the items the same day.

Your donation made it possible for me to restock my closet. I know how much this helps our families in need. I wouldn't be able to keep this project up and running without your help. Thank you!”

  • Math Manipulatives Make Us Magical!

    Funded Sep 21, 2020

I want to start by saying thank you for being so kind. Your donation made such a huge difference in my classroom. I was able to purchase math manipulatives and storage boxes so my students were able to have a math tool box. In order to teach kindergarten math successfully, it is imperative that the students have access to tools. The tool box was used during our distance learning time. Having the box made our instruction more fun and more equitable. The students were very happy when I dropped the items off.

I am happy to report that we will be back in school full time starting April 6th! I will have the students bring their tool box back to school since we are not allowed to share resources. Thank you so much for making this possible! You are amazing!”

  • Leaders Learn From Anywhere!

    Funded Sep 13, 2020

I want to start by saying thank you so much for donating to our classroom project. This project was such an important project because it provided me with a laptop that I can use to teach my students during distance learning.

Having this laptop has allowed me to be able to move around to different areas when teaching. Providing a change of scenery when teaching engages the students. This laptop has also been helpful because it is lightweight and easily transportable.

We will be coming back on campus starting March 1st. I will be able to use this laptop during our weekly assessments. My students and I are so excited to come back! Thanks again for supporting our classroom! You are amazing.”

    Funded Sep 13, 2020

I want to start by saying thank you so much for donating to our classroom project. This project was such an important project because it provided us the resources we need in order to be successful during our distance learning.

I was able to purchase manipulatives, academic games, and many other things. I put the donated items into small tool boxes and the students were able to use these resources during distance learning. The students absolutely love the items. It helps my students stay organized and learn how to use resources to help support them academically.

We will be coming back on campus starting March 1st. My students and I will be able to use the resources during our face to face instruction. My students and I are so excited! Thanks again for supporting our classroom! You are amazing.”

  • Curriculum for Our Creative Minds!

    Funded Sep 15, 2020

I want to start by saying thank you so much for donating to our classroom project. This project was such an important project because it provided us the curriculum we need in order to be successful during our distance learning.

I was able to purchase an amazing Boom card bundle, and I also purchased a small group bundle. I have been able to use both of these resources during distance learning. The students absolutely love the programs. Every time I pull up a Boom card they always tell me how much they enjoy the games.

We will be coming back on campus starting March 1st. I will be able to use the resources during our face to face instruction. I am especially excited about the push light segmenting activities. Thanks again for supporting our classroom! You are amazing.”
