  • Rules for Being Awesome!

    Funded May 5, 2022

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. I have big plans to make reading this book a memorable experience for my students. Not only will I be able to teach reading, writing, and language arts skills, but I will also be able to teach empathy and other social emotional skills.

In our building, we have many students with exceptional abilities. By reading this book, my students are starting to see how incredibly unique these students are. They have been more patient with our exceptional students and each other, which is something that makes me smile.

Thank you again for your support.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Veal

  • Wanted: Versatiles for Reading Comprehension

    Funded Nov 16, 2021

Thank you so much for once again supporting my classroom. The addition of the Versatiles kits has ramped up our reading block. Students are able to work together on reading skills and check their work-all while I'm working with other students. The best part is that my students enjoy using the Versatiles kits and often choose to use them when they have finished their work. It thrills me to see my students working together again and helping each other be successful.

Thank you again for your continued support!”

  • Classroom Economy Supplies

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom again. By supporting my project, you have allowed me to continue my Classroom Economy program. My students love earning points to buy things that they actually like.

The fish fidgets have been a new addition and a huge hit with the students, along with candy prizes that always keep them happy. For some students, this has been one of the highlights of coming back to school.

I am always so thankful for all the amazing things I am able to do with my students due to the kindness and generosity of my donors!”

  • Because of Mr. Terupt We Can Learn!

    Funded Jul 20, 2021

Thank you so much for once again supporting my classroom! I had always read Because of Mr. Terupt aloud to my students at the end of every year and year after year I watched them check out the 4 copies our Media Center had and argue over them! By getting a class set, every child had a copy of the book and no one had to rush to the Media Center to get a copy.

My students were able to use these books to learn more social emotional skills along with the necessary reading skills this book helped me teach. We had lots of good discussion and my students were able to relate to the characters in the book.

Thank you for helping me inspire my students to read. They are now rushing to the Media Center to get books 2,3, and 4!”

  • Comfort Closet Supplies

    Funded Jun 12, 2021

Thank you so much for supporting my Comfort Closet vision. Students have access to so many things they need and may not have at the school.

The best part is there is no judgment. Students get what they need and we are even able to wash clothes if needed. Our kids are also able to have access to various hygiene items at any time with no questions asked. All of these items are kept in a place where they can't be accessed by everyone but only when needed.

Our next steps are to get even more hygiene items to replace the things we have used. Thank you again for supporting the entire school community!”

    With gratitude,

  • Learning History Through Lit

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

A tremendous thank you for supporting my classroom. My students enjoyed learning about an important day in American History through the book Towers Falling. Since my students weren't alive at the time, like the characters in the book, they can more easily identify with how to process and understand the events of September 11th, 2001.

Another lesson learned through this story is empathy. Once students learned the history behind September 11th, they could understand why the characters act the way they do around the anniversary of that date. My students were able to see themselves through the diverse characters of the novel, which led to more excited readers.

After reading this novel, many of my students have picked up other books written about September 11th or books by this author.

    Thank you again!”

  • Cash Out Bonanza

    Funded Nov 23, 2020

Thank you for helping me get prizes for both my in person and remote learners. I am a teacher that loves teaching economics through a classroom economy, but buying prizes can put a huge dent in my wallet. I am so thankful for people like you that help me get prizes my students want.

My remote learners loved receiving gift cards and my in person learners are still talking about the squishiest that were offered to them.

I am so thankful to offer these prizes to my students, especially in a year that has been difficult for many. Thank you again.”

  • BrainPOP Our Learning

    Funded Oct 22, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to my project that brought BrainPOP into my classroom. This year has been unlike any other with my students transitioning between remote and in person learning multiple times this year. Through all this craziness, BrainPOP has been an easy constant through all of it. Students are able to watch videos that not only connect to our content, but they are able to watch videos about topics that interest them.

The teacher side of BrainPOP allows me to find primary sources, graphic organizers, and other activities that I can embed in my lessons. In a year like this, it makes my job much easier.

    Thank you again!”

  • Positive Behavior Plinko

    Funded Aug 11, 2020

Thank you for choosing to support this project. In my classroom, we use an economy rewards system. This means students earn points for meeting and exceeding expectations. Every four weeks, they choose how to spend their points. I wanted to add something new, which is why I requested the PLINKO style board. I am so glad I chose to add this. The students had so much fun trying to earn even more points for prizes. Now that they have seen the PLINKO board in action, they have already talked about choosing this reward again. During this difficult year, it's nice to see the kids excited about something. Thank you again!”

  • Community Supplies

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to my project. This year has been off to a start unlike any other! Since we are not able to share supplies, I have been able to hand out supplies to students not just in my class, but to all students in the building that have a need for crayons, markers, pencils, scissors, and glue sticks.

Your kindness and generosity are amazing. I can't thank you enough for the supplies for my students. It's so nice to be able to take this stress off their plates and allow them to focus on what matters.”

My class is a family. They care of each other and look out for each other. They are truly a special group of 25 students who deserve the best. My students love to do hands on learning. We spend a majority of our day doing projects, using technology, and inquiry based learning activities. Our school is the best. We have a wonderful administrative team and I have parents who care about their children and want what's best for them. I am really lucky.
