ALOHA I am a special education teacher in a public high school of more than 50% native hawaiian students. Learners levels and abilities vary greatly but they all love hands-on activities! My students all have different learning styles and enjoy doing projects and activities differentiated and/or adapted to their specific styles. We face the challenge of being in a low-income school where most families cannot provide students with school materials. We are in an urban landscape, where only one-third of classes are air-conditioned. Water fountains are not located near our classroom. Along with that, our school provides only a very limited budget for teachers to gather materials for their classrooms.
