Paint Sticks for the Win!
Funded Sep 15, 2024Thank you so much for your generous support in providing art supplies for our students. Your kindness and contributions make a profound difference in their creative journeys. Art has the power to inspire, heal, and empower, and because of you, my students have the tools they need to explore their imagination and express themselves in meaningful ways. Your investment in their education and creativity is a gift that will leave a lasting impact. From the bottom of my heart and on behalf of all my students, thank you for believing in the transformative power of art.”

Draw the Line: Pencils and Expo Markers for Creativity
Funded Aug 13, 2024One of the most significant impacts of donating art supplies is ensuring that all students, regardless of their socioeconomic status, have quality art education.
Fortunately, donations like yours, level the playing field, allowing every student to participate in art projects and develop their creative skills.
When students have tools to express themselves, they gain confidence in their ideas and tackle challenges both in and out of the classroom more effectively.
Your generosity made a big difference for so many young artists!”

Clay Glazes for Elementary Artists
Funded Nov 14, 2023Thank you for your generous contribution to this purchase of clay glaze. We're thrilled to receive your encouragement. Via your donation, we have been able to make stunning art pieces. Ceramic glazes are used to decorate pottery in different ways. Layers of glaze are also key in sealing, waterproofing, and strengthening ceramics, making pieces like mugs and plates food-safe.
Your support of our Art program at Highland Park genuinely makes a difference for us and we are immensely thankful to you!”

Art Studio Stools
Funded Nov 28, 2022Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! The addition of 36 rainbow stools has been hugely impactful in our Visual Arts classroom. The stools are the proper size and we have enough for every student! The students were over the moon when the stools arrived. The excitement, as well as the bright colors of the stools, have brought joy into our classroom.
Having these stools has also increased the use of technology in the art room. With the stools, I am able to using the document camera/projector more conveniently. The stools are very lightweight, so students can bring a stool from their table over to sit in front of the overhead screen.
Each day I think about how much time we have gained since getting the stools. Before the stools, endless minutes of missed instruction were collecting while we rearranged and managed the stools.
Your donation towards this project made a difference for over 350 young artists!”

Perfect Project Paper
Funded Sep 5, 2022Having good quality paper has been an such exciting addition to our art room creations. I have also seen how encouraging having quality paper can be to young artists. When the results are impressive, students want to create more. If art materials are of low quality, the effects just won't be quite the same.
We have been able to create beautiful art projects, using various mediums, with the paper from this donation. Having paper that is more resistant, less prone to tearing and that reacts to wet media better, has made a huge difference! Thank you for your contribution to this project 💜”

Art in the Heart!
Funded Nov 15, 2021The books from this donation are an amazing addition to our Art room! All of the books purchased are directly related to art, artists, creativity, imagination, and/or art history.
Students are benefiting in many ways. Our new Art related books are a great choice for early finishers, excellent for research, and an extra engaging way for me to introduce lessons.
It is so important to define literacy as more than being able to read and write. It is about being able to express oneself and interpret the world around us using written, spoken, or heard language. Because of its broad nature, literacy is like art! It connects all the other subject areas at some point or another.
Thank you again for supporting this project! These books are an irreplaceable asset in our classroom.”

Funded Aug 12, 2021Thank you for your generous gift of sketchbooks. We are thrilled to have your support. Through your donation I have been able to provide sketchbooks for all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade artists.
When students complete their work early, I allow them to sketch in their sketchbooks. I have noticed they take their time and put more effort into these drawings than the drawings they do on "free draw" paper. Students take the sketchbooks seriously. The benefit to sketchbooks is that everything is all together, in one neat space. I can easily look through the books to observe student growth. Students can also look back to their notes to reinforce knowledge. Now that I have started using sketchbooks with my students, I couldn't imagine teaching without them! In my opinion, they are an essential tool for every elementary art room.
I am so very appreciative of your donation. Thank you!!!”
