My students deserve the very BEST. I teach 12th grade students in Calculus, the gatekeeper to higher math and a course that enables students to access great majors like engineering and the sciences. It is a difficult course for many to master, especially when my students have been under-served since the start of their schooling. My students come from low-income homes, many with only one parent. They are born into little privilege and given even less. We CAN make a change for them, ensuring that lack of social capital does not have to determine how successful you can become. My students work hard - given the chance, I know they will make a positive DIFFERENCE in our world.
