  • Books for Our Little Free Library

    Funded Mar 21, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting my Little Free Library. This project was for the whole community. Our Little Free Library (LFL) stands next to a bench outside our school building and is used all the time. Community members have been adding books, in addition to the ones that were purchased with donor funds. Many of the students at our school frequently patronize the LFL and say how much they like finding new books each time they visit. It's also a great way to promote reading, sharing, and community involvement. It has been a wonderful addition to our school. I can't thank you enough for donating to our students, staff, and neighborhood community. I hope this will inspire people to read and donate books for years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rusnak

  • Books for Struggling Readers

    Funded Mar 23, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! These items are going to be so beneficial for my students to take them on many new adventures. I requested these new books to help my struggling readers to make them want to read more. Reading is so important and I try to instill the love of reading in all of my students. My students will be so excited to get these new books and look through them. I can't wait for them to go on all these new adventures. Thank you so much for bringing that excitement and joy of reading to my students!”

    Mrs. Rusnak

  • Essential Supplies for Student Success

    Funded Mar 10, 2025

Thank you so much for being a continued supporter of my classroom! Basic supplies are everyday items that we use in the classroom. My students come from homes where these basic supplies are a struggle to get. With the help of wonderful donors like yourself, I am able to make sure my students have these supplies to succeed in the classroom. These items add up quickly when you have 25 students in a classroom, so any help that we get is appreciated. My students love getting the packages and seeing what new supplies they will get to use. We truly appreciate your generosity.”

  • Items for Struggling Readers

    Funded Feb 27, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! My students are going to be so excited to earn these new incentives. Incentives for students motivate them to be more productive because they create a feeling of pride and achievement. Being successful makes you happy. Every success story helps students become more self-confident. They are proud and also encouraged to achieve another successful result. Teacher incentives increase morale. Students want fun — and so do their teachers! These items will help increase the morale in my room. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity.”

  • Clean and Healthy Classroom

    Funded Feb 14, 2025

Thank you for your continued support to my classroom! A healthy classroom makes for a successful classroom. This time of year is when we share all kinds of germs and with your help we will be able to cut down on that sharing. We teach the students that sharing is a positive thing to do, but not with illnesses. The weather is changing here in Ohio, and many of my students haven't changed their attire yet which is causing them to get sick. Thank you so much for helping keep us safe and healthy with these new supplies. We truly appreciate your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rusnak

  • Educational Resources

    Funded Jan 28, 2025

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom! I have such a wide range of student learning abilities that having one grade level of resources isn't ideal. This project allowed me to get a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to get resources to meet the needs of all my students. The students need all different kinds of resources to get them excited about learning. I was able to get decodable readers for my students that are reading on a Kindergarten level in my classroom. These have helped them greatly progress in their reading skills and become more confident in their reading. So I truly appreciate your generous donations.”

Books help kids develop basic language skills and profoundly expand their vocabularies—much more than any other media. They expand our universe beyond time and place and inspire our own original thoughts. Books are interactive; they demand that kids think. Books develop critical thinking skills. Children's literature is important because it provides students with opportunities to respond to literature. It is generally well-known that reading improves focus and concentration in academics. After a year of virtual learning, my students can really benefit from books to help them focus on a daily basis. My students can use more updated books for our classroom library and are very excited to receive them.
