Projected Learning is Necessary
Funded Apr 28, 2023Our new projector is wonderful. It has been an absolute joy having one back in the classroom. The new overhead's projection is clear, bright, and sharp- even with the lights on! My students are so excited to see our stories on the big screen, and I am so excited to have the lack of extension cords and wires running throughout my room!
With the new projector we have not had to clear off the rug to utilize a movement video, because now no one is blocking the projector! We have been able to do more yoga, Zumba, and Go Noodle activities, increasing our opportunities for P.E. and brain breaks. We are having so much fun with less transition time and engaging content!
We have been able to watch videos to enhance our learning topics. We have watched videos on the animals and habitats we are studying, letters we are working on, and random topics that have arose (like what a zeppelin is). Room 33 is loving our new projector!”

Get your Ice Packs Here!
Funded Oct 28, 2012Thank you for donating to our Kindergarten refrigerator. It works great, is much larger than I expected, and has already seen much use. We have made many ice packs, inexpensively, by wrapping sponges in paper towels, wetting them, putting them in plastic bags, and freezing them.
Having the fridge easily accessible to yard helpers, and out of Kindergarteners' reach has greatly reduced the amount of time yard assistants spend responding to injuries. They can access the "treatment" quicker and spend more time on the yard to properly supervise other children at play. This has also helped reduce the amount of injuries on the yard in general. Yea for safety and thanks to you!”

Funded Dec 9, 2011Thanks to you and our new math manipulatives, our math really has value! The new sets have really made a difference for some of the students in my classroom. All of us have enjoyed the ability to utilize the place value sets for math games and the deeper understanding of double digit addition. I can't wait until subtraction with re-grouping comes our way soon. Now we're extra prepared.
In the photos you'll see some of us in the middle of a math game called "May I Borrow a Ten", which we played with partners to understand the concept of re-grouping. In other pictures you'll see us solving addition problems with our squares and rods. Both events made use of the tens and ones mats the children made to help them differentiate the places in the numbers. We can't wait to use them again soon. ”
