• 3D Printing Lab!

  3D printing is thrilling for adults and kids alike; THANK YOU for supporting our classroom dream of creating a 3D printing lab. Having easy access to a 3D printer is so helpful. Honestly as soon as I set it up, my students sent me three files to print for their competition robotics teams! I'm so excited to be able to share this with all of my students, now when they use software and apps to 3D model they'll be able to print and hold on to the fruits of their labor! My students and I are continuously in awe of the generosity we experience through Donors Choose. Thank you for supporting us in all of our educational adventures!”

• Updated Tech for Engaging Lessons!

  The materials I received through this project have been instrumental in helping me gain knowledge and perspective through professional developments, optional coursework, and mandatory trainings. I am able to use the standing desk to stay on task, remain attentive, and stay motivated for the entire time. The dry erase markers help me with the diagramming of concepts, ideas and with modeling guided notes for my students, as well.

• Outdoor Fun!

  My were extremely excited to receive, open, and play with their new materials today! All my students enjoyed the games and actively engaged with each other - and not their devices - while they stacked and restacked the block tower games and played countless games of checkers and tic-tac-toe.

  My patio area mimicked my classroom and was an inclusive space for all students to enjoy; it was an amazing sight to behold! My kiddos with moderate to severe disabilities enjoyed games with my neurotypical kiddos and even the adult assistants got in on the fun!

• Building Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Communication Skills with KEVA Planks

  THANK YOU for your generosity! The KEVA planks and contraptions sets have been a wonderful addition to my classroom. All of my students love them, but they are especially beneficial for my special needs students. The KEVA materials allow all of my students to participate in our STEAM curriculum while fostering community and empathy. It's amazing to watch.

  My students have been having a great time making various contraptions with the contraptions kits. The KEVA Bot Maze has been really engaging as well. The students are able to make it work for all different levels and they set different goals based on what they're hoping to accomplish on that day. It's STEAM in action!”

• Visual and Audio Support!

  My students and I are ever grateful for your generous donations to our classroom. The products that have been donated enrich my students experiences on a daily basis. The large digital clock is tremendously helpful for my students as it is bright and can be seen from across the classroom. The kids are able to work on their time management skills as they are able to see exactly how much time they have left to work on their daily project(s). Additionally, I am able to stream various types of music with our new bluetooth speaker which my students love! The kids love music and having it playing in the background allows the students to listen while they work.

• STEAM for All!

  Funded Feb 25, 2019

  The addition of the Brain Flakes, Marble Run kits, and the Magna Tiles has improved engagement and participation across the board in the class where our students with special needs are included. The students are having so much fun manipulating the Brain Flakes to create trees, houses, animals, and cars. The Marble Run kits were a hit from the get go, as all of the students worked together to create large, multiple marble, runs that really caught everyone's attention.

  My students and I are so grateful for all of the donations we received to make this project possible. I am looking forward to creating team building exercises that all of my students will look forward to participating in and watching the relationships in my classroom grow!”
