Pencils Galore
Funded Dec 31, 2024Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. Your support extends beyond the classroom. The students did a quick math problem when I kept pulling out boxes among boxes of pencils. The funniest part was they were even more excited that they were already sharpened.
Your continuous support for the education of future leaders, doctors, nurses, teachers, etc starts now. We try to instill in them that their future starts now. Their career path and choices will start being explored now and will become more identified in the future.
Thank you again!”

Funded Apr 13, 2021Thank you so much for supporting my students. The kids can't wait to be able to build the solar cars and make adjustments to them to see which methods work best. Yesterday we had a career day virtual visit from I-Robot and the students were telling them about the solar cars they were going to build.
Hopefully within the next week or so the weather will remain consistent enough for us to be able to go outside and enjoy the weather and build the cars. Thank you again for your support! Have a great day.”

Two Screens for Education
Funded Oct 9, 2020My eyes have been saved thanks to you. I can now see everything I need to at once. My Zoom classes are on my laptop and EVERYTHING else I need is on the "big screen" as I keep telling the students.
One thing I had to warn my students is that I am NOT watching TV I am finally free from being overwhelmed with one screen. This honestly has been a life saver. I didn't think I would be able to adjust to seeing things on both screens but now I don't know how I ever worked without it.
Again your generosity has helped me in this difficult time and I will be sure to pay it forward in the future!”

Funded Dec 15, 2018Thank you for your generous donations! The notebooks arrived at a crucial time of the year, many students had just ran out of notebook paper from their previous notebooks and couldn't afford to have their parents buy them another one. In addition, it is only only a few short months away from state testing which allows the students to organize their materials and work in order to master newly learned concepts/skills.
When the notebooks were delivered the students were shocked to hear that someone would donate their personal money for their classroom supplies. After explaining to them that the donations came from people I didn't even know, they were more thrilled to engage in math lessons that required them to use the notebooks.
On a daily basis I have students coming up and asking me for a notebook in order to help organize their materials. Some of these students are from different grades. Their love for learning has increased at a crucial part of the year and it is all thanks to your generosity.
Thank you again for helping improve the education of my students and students across the country.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018As the school year winds down, well almost, the students have already read a number of high quality texts. We were just starting to scramble as to what we can have them read next and then my project got funded. In an instant, problem solved! Your donation could not have come at a better time and we are very thankful.
Students enjoy reading texts that are engaging and these will be able to provide that experience. Some students have recently asked to take books home to finish reading, which to be honest is something I have never heard a student ask to do before. Thank you again for your help and I can't wait to hear the discussions the students engage in over these texts.”

Funded Aug 30, 2017Thank you very much for your generous donations. Many of the students walked in the first day without backpacks and now they will be able to have one thanks to your generous donation. Many of the students were truly inspired by your generosity and the outpouring of support towards their education.
The students can not wait until the supplies are delivered and they are able to choose their backpack. Not only will it help the students have a successful year, it will help families financially as they will not have to worry about buying a backpack for their child.
Thank you again for your donation! My students and I truly appreciate it.”

Supplies, Supplies, Supplies
Funded Feb 25, 2017Thank you again for your support. Out of the materials I received I have already handed out a dozen notebooks and folders. My students were excited to receive new notebooks and folders to help them succeed in class. They couldn't believe the generosity provided by strangers, they kept asking me "why would someone do that for us?"
The notebooks will help students engage in interactive notebooks, more in depth writing experiences, and just explore their creativity by letting their minds be free. My students and I thank you again and I can't wait to see what the future brings for these bright young minds!”

Books Galore!
Funded Nov 6, 2016Thank you for your support to my classroom. It is difficult to find high interest books at a low reading level for sixth grade students. However, with your support I was able to do so. One of my students, who has had interrupted formal education, stated "I am starting to really enjoy school." To hear those words come from a student is exciting.
The students asked if they could select a book to read next because they wanted to read them all. I told them they would be able to select the book the group could read and they were excited to do so. Thank you again for your support, your generosity helps teachers like me continue to provide for students.”

Y2YEAH
Funded Nov 9, 2015Thank you very much for your contribution to my classroom. The students were baffled when they found out someone donated the iPads for them to use in the class.
Their reactions to the cases were by far the best. Immediately they responded "do you think we will break these or something." Since honesty is the best policy I indicated that was the reason. As fun as they are, one responded "well you need better one than that because we aren't responsible."
This afternoon the class will be using them to research facts about a state or country that they read about for nonfiction unit.”

Keeping Up With The Times
Funded Sep 17, 2014I wish someone else besides myself was able to see the reaction of my students when I told them that someone donated the two brand new MacBook Air computers for their use. One student stated "no one person would be that nice." When I explained the purpose of the computers and how I got them from they only then started to believe me that what they were seeing was real.
The first day my students used the computers I had to pull names out of a hat in order to make the process fair. The students have been using the computers in the classroom as well as during pull out sessions to continue their education, continue working on classroom projects, researching information for Science Fair, and as a reward for good behavior. The students ask daily if they can use the computers to do something to further their education.
In ELA class students participate in a technology center. Each group that rotates in and out of this center has 4-6 people who were asked to share two desktop computers. Now that we have these computers the students are able to work more efficiently in paired during that time.
Thank you again for your generous donation.”
