I have slowly worked on making my room more flexible in terms of seating, providing different places for my students to work. However, we are still stuck with our inflexible, uncomfortable desks. Replacing the desks with dry-erase tables will allow my students to better collaborate and visual their learning. In addition, our current desks have the seats attached. By having separate chairs, we will be able to easily group our chairs in a Socratic seminar formation easier, allowing my students to more easily participate in the discussion. Furthermore, the rectangle shape of the tables allows me to create different learning formations dependent on our unit. NOTE: *24% of our students are economically-disadvantaged.
