  • Stupendous Stations in Kindergarten

    Funded Jan 25, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations! My students are loving the listening center, the pocket chart and all of the other awesome items we received from our project!

Our listening station and the books on cd have been the biggest hit! They are all so excited to get to go to that station. During our center time, two students at a time are partnered up and are able to listen to a book on cd and then write about the book when they are finished.

Our pocket chart is used for sorting centers as well as whole group activities! Students can put a poem in order, retell a story using story cards, or make sentences with the pocket chart!

They also love the paint trays. We have used them multiple times to write our sight words with shaving cream! It definitely makes learning more fun and helps with every child's learning style.

Again, thank you so much for your generous donations!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Croucher

  • Flexible Seating to Promote Student Learning

    Funded Aug 14, 2016

Wow! I cannot express my thanks enough. These materials have already made an impact on my students and will continue to throughout the year and for the years to come.

When the students first saw the wobble stools they were in awe. They had never seen something like it. They are used when they are sitting at my table in small groups, or when they are reading around the room. They are definitely a hot item in the classroom. The softseats are also something that the students love to use when they are reading or writing around the room. They can grab a clipboard and work anywhere their heart desires. Those are definitely fan favorite items in the room.

Currently students are just sitting at tables at regular seats. We have learned so many new routines with our flexible seating materials that we will soon go into full swing with our plan where students can come in and sit anywhere they would like for the whole day. They are doing a fabulous job with rules and expectations so far, so I am excited to see how they do moving forward.

Again, thank you so much for your generous donation. It couldn't have been done without you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Croucher

My students are in kindergarten in a small, rural town in Southeastern Ohio. Our school is kindergarten through eighth grade and we also have the high school down the road. My students love to have fun and engaging literacy centers! My students also tend to get wiggly when they are seated in their seats for long periods of time, so we love to utilize brain breaks, especially our favorite website, GoNoodle.
