Nearly half of the students in my school receive free or reduced meals. This means we are close to being Title 1, which receives extra funds and resources, but we are not close enough. Our school is outdated and it seems as if we are struggling to keep up with the rest of the schools, those that have been updated and those that receive the extra funds from their Title 1 status. This means our students are at a slight disadvantage. However, they deserve the best!
