'Awesome Art Supplies for Awesome Students' will further the development of my art studio as I get started out in this first year. My students deserve the best materials and experiences that we can possibly give them. Building up an art studio of choice and many material options takes time and money. This opportunity will greatly help in this advancement and in giving my students more to work with, succeed with, and learn with. This project is all about providing the best experiences for my students. Part of a positive experience in the art room is having ample supply of quality material for students to explore. These supplies will greatly benefit my students by allowing them to experiment with new supplies of a high quality that they may not have access to otherwise. For example, having the ability to offer Prismacolor pencils, markers and colored pencils will open up all sorts of new possibilities for my students in their work. A second example would be the opportunity for my design students to have the chance to really work with acrylic paints if we were to receive the gesso, canvas, and brushes. In addition to some higher quality supplies, basic needs must be met as well in my art class. We are short on things like scissors and rulers which are basic tools that my students need in order to be successful. This project will assist my students in their class work and larger projects as we learn design and drawing concepts.
