Math Materials Need Home
Funded Aug 13, 2023Thank you so much donors! You are appreciated more than you know!
My students were so excited to receive the new materials! Our math manipulatives were in different places around the room and not organized well. With our new shelf, we are able to organize manipulatives and have them centered in one area of the room. They are easily accessible and able to be cleaned up quickly and efficiently.
We also love new books! We have been able to read them out loud and the students choose them to read independently often. There are many lessons to be taught by reading picture books and it is one of my favorite ways to teach!
The storage boxes house all of our extra supplies that are needed throughout the year! We use them often and the students can find them easily! Thank you again!”

Mrs. Corbett

Funded Nov 4, 2022First of all, thank you so much for donating to our classroom! We have been using each and every item as much as we possibly can.
My students were so surprised when the boxes of items arrived in our classroom! We were able to open them together and talk about what each item would be used for. We got started using the bean bags and lap desks right away! They love to be able to choose a spot around the room and not have to sit in a hard, plastic chair all day. We use the wipe-off boards daily as well as the math games and charts!
Again, thank you so much for providing these items for our classroom! We will take great care of them and use them for many years!”

Funded Sep 9, 2015I cannot thank you enough for donating to this project that provided so many new books to our classroom. My student's this year are already enjoying them and I know they will be used for many years to come.
Some student's have a hard time "getting lost in a book" because they can't find a book that keeps their interest. I want them to enjoy books as much as I do and to experience what it's like to be changed by a book. By choosing books that relate to their interests, I hope they develop a love of reading they never lose.
Thank you again for supporting me and my classroom!”

Funded Nov 10, 2014Thank you so much for donating to my project! My students were so excited to receive these items to help maximize our Safe Place.
Our Safe Place is a quiet spot in our room where a student can go if they are feeling angry, sad, or if they need to calm down. The bean bags help with providing a comfortable place for the students to sit. They use the stress balls that were purchased to help with calming down and squeezing the stress away! Feelings books are also a part of our safe place, but they are used throughout the classroom as well. We also read and talk about them during community circle.
Many of our students live in unstable, stressful situations so sometimes they need a place to calm down before the day even starts. Your donations have helped our classroom in so many ways. I am so thankful for you!”

Funded Oct 4, 2014My students were so excited to receive the mini iPads! Many of my students do not own technology like this at home. To be able to use them at school is very exciting! All of them wanted to use them right away.
We are using the mini iPads many different ways. Some of the ways we are using the iPads include; researching topics for projects like All About Books and Earth's Systems, working on math fact fluency, practicing writing sight words, and being able to read and listen to books online! As you can see there are many things we can do with our new mini iPads and the list continues to grow.
This project has helped my teaching because I am able to track students' learning with the math fact fluency app, check sight words, and provide technology for research projects! I am so thankful for your donations and I appreciate you helping my classroom this year. Thank you again!”

The Right Start
Funded Oct 8, 2013Thank you so much for providing such amazing resources for my classroom of students! It is truly heartwarming to know there are companies who would take the time to do something for our children and teachers.
My students were beside themselves when I showed them their new supplies and resources. I don't think they knew what to think at first! Many of them said, "Wow!" and "Oh my goodness!" They couldn't wait to get their hands on them!
We use these materials daily during small group and whole group instruction. The students use them during individual work, partner work, and many choose them during inside recess or free time. They are wonderful!
With these resources, I am able to do many group lessons easier and more efficiently and I believe the students enjoy using them very much! Thank you again for your generosity! It is greatly appreciated!”

Read to Lead
Funded Sep 12, 2013I want to start off by saying thank you so much to each of your for giving to this project! You may already know, but I can't tell you enough how much you have helped my current classroom of students and many, many more to come.
My students have been so excited about the new books! Many of their mouths just dropped when I showed them how many we received. "We get ALL of these books?" "You mean we can read the whole series now?" "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" These are just a few of the quotes from my students! I think they were excited!
We are using these books during independent reading, small group and whole group instruction, and free reading time. It is so wonderful to see the students get excited about a book and know they can continue reading books in the same series. I know these books will help my students become better readers because they are excited about reading!
Thank you again for helping so many students learn to love reading!”

Funded Jul 27, 2013This project has helped our classroom in many ways! We have been able to do a few projects with the supplies and we will be able to do many more projects with the remaining supplies. My students love all of the items purchased with the project but they especially love the twistables! They can't stop talking about them.
One of the projects we have done is making a self-portrait out of construction paper. The students used the multi-cultural paper, crayons and twistables to make a portrait of themselves. My classroom is filled with many different skin colors and the paper gave them more choices to better match what they look like. They then filled out a few questions to glue on their person. They had a lot of fun doing it!
I can think of so many projects to use these materials with. All About Me projects, Hispanic Heritage Month projects, Black History Month projects, Thanksgiving projects, and the list goes on. We are so grateful for your generosity! Thank you!”

Funded Dec 5, 2010Thank you so much for the funds you have provided! You have made it possible for my students to have a rug when many of the classrooms in my school do not! This is something I have wanted for my students for many years.
My students now have a "rectangle" of their own during group times and a place to read comfortably. Distractions from children bothering each other are rare because they now have their own space to stay in. We use the rug several times throughout the day. We use it during group time, center time, individual reading time, and for movement activities.
Thank you so much for providing this for my children! They absolutely love it, and so do the other teachers!!”

Funded Oct 20, 2010Thank you so much for providing these wonderful readers for my students! My students are so excited to have books they are interested in. These independent readers will be used for many years to come.
With the resources you have helped provide, my students are able to choose books suitable for their reading level. They are becoming more excited about reading because they are able to be successful when choosing an appropriate book.
Engaging and interesting readers are so important at this age. I would not have been able to provide them without you. Thank you so much!”
