  • Use Your Voice and Be Empowered

    Funded May 5, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations. My students will greatly benefit from this microphone and inspiring book, specially my students who are learning English, who tend to be self conscious and soft spoken at times.

This tool will be used daily in all subject matter to empower my students to speak up and be heard!”

    Funded Mar 19, 2018

I'm so grateful for your generous donation. My students are now able to use the Samsung chrome books on a daily basis in the classroom instead of once a week in the computer lab.

They practice skills in reading and math. They enjoy using Smarty Ants and Amplify Reading websites to improve on their reading through fun and engagingg games. In addition, students use Zearn.org to review math concepts with concrete visuals that make it easier for them to learn number concepts and skills in a fun and engaging way.

In addition, students enjoy ABC mouse. It provides choices for them to further their learning in all academic subjects. Even more, they enjoy watching educational videos and reading stories on Getepic.com. It is thanks to you that my students engage in fun and exciting ways of learning using the Samsung Chromebooks on a daily basis as well as practice technology skills.”

  • Science Wizards Through Technology!

    Funded Mar 19, 2018

Your generosity has richly enhanced my students' learning experience. The two Samsung Chromebooks have provided them with opportunities learn using different tools. They used the Chromebooks to practice reading and answering comprehension questions on Achieve 3000 at least twice a week. They would get immediate feedback on how well they answered the questions,so they are highly motivated to read. In addition, my students also used prodigy.com to practice their math through math games which were fun and engaging. Even more, my students used the Chromebooks to do research on topics of their interest such as solar power and different animals to find information for their writing assignments.Lastly, they used dictionaries and thesauruses Ondine as well as completed typing lessons, and test practice activities to prepare them for the state smarter balanced test at the end of the school year.

These Chromebooks provided a way to challenge my gifted students with fun math projects that required research as well. My students did their best to finish assignments well when using the Chromebooks.

Thanks for your support in making these experiences possible.”

  • Neat, Useful and New Backpacks for Kids

    Funded Feb 16, 2017

Thanks so much for your donations. My kindergarten and first grade students were delighted to receive their backpacks. They asked if they were all going to get them, if they were free, and if they could keep them forever. Many of them transferred their belongings to their new backpack as soon as they got them. The students kept telling me how much they liked them. The backpacks are very sturdy and are not too big or too small. They are just right. Students are able to fit all their belongings in them nicely. They take them home and bring them to school daily rain or shine. My students wear them with pride and they look very sharp.”

  • Healthy and Active Kids With Fun Equipment

    Funded Mar 6, 2017

I am so grateful for your generosity. My students have truly enjoyed the exercise and recess equipment you have made possible for them to use. I have been able to deliver meaningful physical education lessons with the parachute, and different kinds of balls, jump ropes, Frisbees, etc... Students have also enjoyed playing with the whistle balls. When the students saw all the equipment laying on the rug, they had a big smile on their face and they asked what it was for and if they were going to use it and when. Of course I explained that it was because of generous donors that we were able to receive the materials. I no longer have to stick to the same activities. I can provide my students with variety of fun and healthy activities. They play soccer, basketball, throw and catch, different jumprope games, and of course they really enjoy using the parachute. Thanks again for helping me bring a smile to my students face and something fun and exciting they can look forward to participating in on a daily basis. My students never forget its physical education time. They are eagerly looking forward each day to P.E. time as we call the time they get to participate in exercise games and activities.”

  • Games Make Learning Fun!

    Funded Mar 12, 2012

    Dear Donors,

My students and I are very grateful for your generous donations. The students are delighted to play engaging fun learning games. They are thrilled as they earn points, capture flags, and conquer different phases. Children practice important skills and concepts in both reading and math. They review these enthusiastically and look forward to come to school daily and use the computer. Last years students' scores on standardized tests improved for at least 15 out of 24 students in both reading and math from the previous year. Partly due to the opportunity they had to learn as they engage in these outstanding games. Thanks again for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jureidine

My students are energetic, curious, and enjoy using computers any chance they get. They attend a small school in California that lacks a computer lab and basic computer experiences. These children are very active and enjoy educational games. Many come from low-income homes in which parents have limited resources.
