Living in a remote Alaskan village where things are not as easily accessible to obtain, we strive to provide highly engaging learning experiences through technology and hands on activities. Our students have very unique lives, although some conditions are rough, they always come to school excited. Our school is the hub of the community and it provides a safe haven to most students. In our modern world, technology is vastly used within our classrooms. Being so remote it is difficult for our student to gain exposure to technical advances. Internet access and cell phones, have only recently been introduced within nearly the last decade. Our students who are so intrigued and motivated to learn with technology could potentially be provided with an amazing opportunity to expand their horizons beyond "bush" life. Our community is filled with caring individuals which makes living here that much better!
