Carpet Needed! Please!
Funded Feb 1, 2012Thank you so much for this wonderful donation! Our students were so excited when the new carpet came. They made sure to keep it neat and clean the whole year!!. The students benefited from having their own "squares." No no one complained about being "squished" or having no room. We were able to conduct very interesting lessons and games on the rug. We used the carpet for everything from math to independent reading. So, thank you for allowing us to have such an amazing tool in our classroom. You have helped not only these students but the many students that will pass through our classroom. We thank you again for taking the time out to make this generous donation!”

More Ink Please!

Now they can physically see their work and hold it in their hands! This ink is really going to help this class as well as other classes to come. It is great to see the students reading and looking at their printed work. It is a great motivating tool to write and really assists our students in creating some beautiful pieces of work! Funded Feb 12, 2010Thank you so much for donating to our trip to the Top of the Rock. This has really enhanced our current Social Studies Curriculum. Our students were excited when entering this very grand building. They admired the crystal work and the absolutely gorgeous views of New York City. The students saw landmarks such as the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. Landmarks that they have only seen in pictures. We are so happy that we were able to get this opportunity for our students. Of course, this was not possible without your generous donation! Without you, we couldn't have accomplished this goal. Funded Dec 16, 2009Thank you so much for donating to our project!! The easel is being put to good use. The student's eyes were bright and in awe when they first saw the easel. Our students enjoy coming up and and writing on the easel. Lessons can be done in any corner of the room! Our classroom has become an exciting place to be! We are able to do lessons in different colors and the explanations are so much easier follow. This is due to the fact that we can move the easel anywhere!! In addition, there is no more chalk dust so our students are more comfortable in the classroom. Of course, this could not have happened without all of your generous donations. We and our class appreciate this and will be thankful every time we use that easel. Thank you once again! ”

Motivating Students Through Erasers and Markers!!
Funded Nov 5, 2009Thank you so much for this generous donation! My students are very excited when using these erasers and markers. It is great to see the students taking care of the materials because they value them so much. Now, we incorporate the use of wipe erase boards, markers, and erasers for many subjects such as Math, Word Works, and even Social Studies. These tools keep the students motivated and interested in learning. We could not have had these materials if it wasn't for you! My class and I thank you for taking the time out to support us! ”

Sharing and Caring 101: Puzzles and Games for 2nd Graders!
Funded Oct 28, 2009Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom! It is so exciting to see our students use these materials. Their eyes light up as each game is introduced. The students are motivated to think about each move in order to win the game or put together the puzzle to see the full picture. We have a more productive and meaningful experience during our activities. The reading Bingo sets are especially helpful when introducing or reinforcing reading skills.
