My students have larger-than-life personalities that fit well with mine. They are fun, silly, and intelligent beyond what I imagined. I could not ask for a better group of students than what I have now. To speak of their personal and academic growth makes me the happiest teacher in the world because ultimately, they are not just learning Spanish but key pillars of success like ganas (will), esfuerzo (effort), and curiosidad (curiosity). At our school, we talk about these concepts a lot because we believe that instilling in our students a love of lifelong, habitual learning and tenacity is just as important as meeting our annual goals. We work and teach by the philosophy that "Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel." - Socrates
