  • Classroom Redo

    Funded Apr 14, 2025

Thank you for your generous donation to my class wish list. With your kindness, I will be able to provide my 3rd grade students with ample opportunities to enhance their learning. The flexible seating will allow my students to have movement throughout the day which in turn will increase their attention span.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Knauer

  • Bouncy Ball Flexible Seats

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my Donor's Choose Project. I am truly grateful for your contribution to our classroom.

Your donation allowed me to purchase additional flexible seating for my 3rd grade students. The yoga bouncy ball seats help my students with ADD and ADHD attend to tasks and increase their focus. I have used flexible seating in my classroom for over 5 years and I have observed the impact the seats make on the student's learning.

Your support makes a significant difference in our learning environment, and I appreciate your commitment to our students' success.”

  • Electrifying Science With Circuits

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you for your generous donations to the Donor's Choose project. With your contribution, I was able to provide my 3rd grade students with an awesome, hands on learning experience.

The students use the Snap Circuits frequently during our STEAM time. They create closed circuits by following step by step directions. Additionally, students are able to show their Snap Circuit creations with their classmates.

In conclusion, your generous donations allowed me to put state of the art science tools into the hands of my third grade students.”

  • Flexible Ball Seats

    Funded Dec 6, 2022

Thank you for your generous donations to my class project, "Flexible Ball Seats." The flexible ball seats are a welcomed addition to our classroom. With your donation, I now am able to provide all of my students with a flexible seating option.

The flexible ball seats are used by 3rd grade students in my classroom. I have a wide variety of students that use the seats including students with 504 accommodations, students with IEPs, and students learning English as a second language. The flexible seating helps promote movement in order to facilitate sustained focus to complete classroom tasks.

Thank you again for your contribution to our classroom!”

  • Flexible Floor Seats!

    Funded May 23, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to my project. Through your generosity, I was able to provide my students with four new flexible seating options. The soft stadium floor seats were an instant hit with my third grade students. The seats are a perfect addition to the flexible seats already in the classroom. The students enjoy sitting in the comfortable seats. They can adjust the backrest for added comfort. The seats are very popular during independent reading time.

I cannot thank you enough for helping me bring more flexible seats into the classroom.”

  • Bouncy Ball Seats

    Funded Feb 1, 2019

Thank you for your generous donation to my class project. Your contribution has allowed me to replace old, worn bouncey ball seats with new ones. The old ones were in crates that were cracking and the balls kept popping!

The new seats are larger and have a larger weight limit, so all of my students can benefit from the flexible seating. Additionally, the replacement seats seem to be made from a tougher rubber. I am hopeful that the seat will hold up over time. The bright blue and green colors match perfectly with the Dr. Seuss decor in the classroom.”

  • Flexible Seating Wobble Stools

    Funded Oct 16, 2018

Thank you for your generosity. Your donation enabled my students to have new seats in our flexible seating classroom. The four Wobble Stools were an instant hit with the students. I wish I would have recorded their reactions to seeing them in the room. It was totally priceless!

The Wobble Stools provide movement to students while sitting to do work. Movement is key to helping some students maintain focus and to complete a task. These seats are a great addition to our classroom.

The stools are the beginning of my plan to incorporate more flexible seating into the classroom. Currently, I have many homemade seats. Unfortunately, after several years of use, some are breaking. So, I am now looking into purchasing additional seating. Because of you, I was able to to begin purchasing replacement seats.”

    With gratitude,

  • Class Set of Books

    Funded Oct 10, 2012

Thank you so much for your generous monetary donation. With your contribution, I was able to obtain a class set of books titled Stuart Little by E.B. White for my students to read.

My third grade students enjoy reading novels, but our school only has a limited number of class sets of novels. Through Donorschoose.org, my students are now reading their second novel! The students are actively engaged in reading the fascinating story of a little lost mouse. They are wondering if the Littles will find their long lost family member, or will he be a victim of the town cats!

While reading the book, my students are participating in lively book talks, hands on projects, and other engaging activities. Thank you for helping me promote the love of reading for my students! I would not have been able to do it without your help!!!”

  • Class Set of Books Needed

    Funded Apr 25, 2012

Thank you for your donations to our fist project on Donorschoose.org. You generosity and kindness enabled my class to purchase a class set of novels. We purchased Freckle Juice by Judy Blume. This is our first set of classroom novels. Previously, I only had enough books to have small groups read a novel, now I am able to read one novel with the entire class.

Since receiving our novels, the students have eagerly read through the book! The students and I have participated in lively discussion about the chapters. The novel has sparked a love of reading in so many of my students. Wihtout your donation, I would not have been able to provide my students with this wonderful reading adventure!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Knauer

My students are hard working, eager to learn 3rd grade students from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds. They are highly motivated to read novels that peak their interest. They enjoy reading chapter books together and discussing the chapters they have read.
