Reading Through Multiple Modalitites
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for funding this project. The impact on my students will be far reaching and give them some more confidence in themselves to take into the future. It’s because of amazing people like you that keep me from losing all faith in our society. Thank you again!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple.Mobile Literacy Work
Funded Apr 12, 2017I was able to hand out prepared reading notebooks to my students on the first day of school and get them working right away. While they weren't thrilled about having to do work on the first day, my students were extremely relieved to have one less item to purchase for school and I was excited to be able to get right to work.
Moving forward, students will be using the index cards for vocabulary instruction and the notebooks will continue to be used for collecting thoughts during reading and strategies to further learning. None of this would have been possible without your generosity and we are so thankful!”

Funded Apr 27, 2017To start off the school year with loose leaf, pencils and highlighters, has made a world of difference for many of my students. They don't have to worry about having something to write with or on and it enabled me to have them complete some ice breaker activities at the beginning of the school year.
When my students saw the erasable highlighters, they were amazed. Since most of them tend to over highlight and then ask for a new handout, they are able to correct their mistake and save some paper. We greatly appreciate your donations and are excited to continue using these items.”

Building Our Vocabulary
Funded Sep 4, 2017The index cards and storage boxes are already proving to be a wonderful resource for my students. They are beginning to use them for vocabulary and I'm not finding cards on the floor. When my students saw these resources, they were excited that they could store their cards in the classroom and got to use brightly colored cards for certain things. Without your generous donations, I would have had to have asked parents to spend more money on school supplies, when I know that some of them are already struggling to get their kids the basics. It's because of people like you, that teachers are able to make things a little easier for them.”

Flexible Seating for Special Needs Students
Funded Feb 9, 2017A simple thank you cannot express my gratitude. I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning when the chairs arrived and got straight to assembling them. My students are so excited to use them and it has already made a positive impact on the classroom environment. I'm interested in seeing the long term impact of these chairs and stools on student learning. Working with special needs students is challenging enough, but your generous donation has make it a bit easier.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

School Supplies for Bright Futures
Funded Nov 5, 2016My students were so excited to see all the materials they received thanks to your generosity. Many of them came to school the first day empty handed and nervous about being able to get the supplies needed to do their school work. They are excited to be able to have their work kept in an organized place.
We have been using the the binders and dividers to create interactive notebooks, where students create pages of notes with tabs and flaps. Having new binders helps ensure that these important pages don't fall out, but when the holes do rip, there are hole protectors to repair them!
I don't think that the beginning of this school year would have been so successful without these materials and I can't thank you all enough.”

iPad Minis For Future Success
Funded Dec 24, 2014My students were thrilled to receive the iPad minis. Since many of them have limited access to technology, they jump at the opportunity to use it whenever they can. They ask everyday if they are going to be using them.
The students have been using the iPad mini's to study their vocabulary, which has in turn boosted their test scores, but more importantly it has helped them learn and remember the vocabulary words. Additionally, they just completed a blog project where they used the Kidblog, an app on the iPads. It was great to see how excited they were to have there turn with using the iPads to complete their posts.
In the coming weeks, my students will be using them to complete research for their year end project as well. Without these tablets, they would not be able to do this vital research!”

Help Students Start the School Year on the Right Foot
Funded Aug 23, 2014My students were so excited to see all the materials they received thanks to your generosity. Many of them came to school the first day empty handed and nervous about being able to get the supplies needed to do their school work. They are thrilled being the first to use the whiteboards and markers.
We have been using the whiteboards to answer quiz questions and the index cards to help learn new vocabulary. Using highlighters helps them edit their writing and my students always have something to write with, thanks to the pens and pencils that have been provided for them.
I don't think that the beginning of this school year would have been so successful without these materials and I can't thank you all enough.”
