This Lego wall will be an exciting part of the future-ready library that I am creating for my students. When students participate in hands on learning and creative endeavors , they learn important skills such as collaboration, kindness, resilience and critical thinking. In my maker space I have seen students from different grade levels and social groups come together to problem- solve or build something. They enjoy working together to solve a problem. Many teachers are using Legos, blocks, and other manipulatives for students to express their learning. Not only are Legos fun, they are also educational. Students can use them to retell stories, create characters, build robots, complete design challenges, and make stop-motion and/or green screen videos. The possibilities are endless!
