Learning English Through Color
Funded Sep 3, 2024Wow!! What an impact this has had on our learning community. My students are able to access materials in color and it really makes a difference. My students are so excited when it is time to read a new decodable book, look at a new anchor chart to learn a new skill, and so many more things! This ink has allowed us to print and hang more visuals around the room, including vocabulary charts, sentence frames to help us learn how to speak and write in full sentences, and alphabet charts. My students are eager to learn and use new materials everyday when they come to my class thanks to you! Thank you again so much for all the support, it is so so appreciated.”

Funded Aug 11, 2023Thank you, thank you, thank you! The new items I have received for my students this year are already proving to have such an incredible impact! The ipad is used by both myself and the students. I use it for class dojo to communicate with parents, and reward students with Dojo points during lessons for working hard or helping others. They love these points because they can later use them to get prizes from the prize box! The ipad also has many educational apps to help the students learn and practice reading and math strategies.
The teachers pay teachers gift card is amazing!! I used it to purchase an ENL curriculum for newcomers. It is packed with units for the entire school year, covering different topics from family members, things at school. The units include printable resources like books, vocabulary words, student dictionaries, interactive notebooks, and other engaging activities for the students. They are loving the materials. So far their favorite is the printable books! The students love reading them with a partner, and then coloring their personal books.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your donations. The students and I are so so grateful, and we are so excited to continue using our new items this year!”

Funded Dec 28, 2021I cannot thank you enough for the donations towards this project for the pre-k kiddies in my school! The smiles and looks of joy on those little faces when they saw all the new play equipment was priceless! They were so excited! The pogo sticks are perfect for practicing coordination, and the hopscotch and number bean bag challenge game are definitely favorites of many of the children ! These items increased their engagement and excitement during the cold winter months, and as we start to get back to playing outside, the children are just as happy to bring these toys outside to play. They love them so much are learning valuable lessons with them too, including social emotional and physical ones. Again, as always, your donations are so so appreciated and every time I get to hear the students laughter, or see the smiles on their faces, I think of you. THANK YOU!!”

Funded Apr 26, 2021I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to have received all of these incredible literacy materials for my students! They have been loving them!! One specific item that has been great are the sight word journals. Sight words are a huge part of success in literacy and learning how to read and these journals have been great to have a place for the kids to write their sight words and practice and review them. Also, the touch and read cvc words are amazing!! They are hands on and it can be used as a whole group activity, partnerships. and even as a game, which is the children's favorite way to use them.
When they first saw the materials, they were so excited they started cheering! Many of these kids don't get a lot at home, so getting "gifts" in school was a real treat for them. They were so eager to open all of them at once!! We got to take a glimpse of each activity, but they love when we get time during the day to pull out one of our learning games! They love to tell their friends and family about them too!
As I step into a new role of ENL teacher this year, I know these literacy materials will be super helpful! As I continue the year, I am eager to see what works well, what could be better, and what else I could get that will help my students succeed. Again, this donation has been a tremendous help and I can't thank you each and every one of you enough!!! Thank you!!”

Flexible Seating to the Rescue!
Funded Dec 20, 2018I cannot even begin to describe how thankful my students and I are for receiving the wonderful wobble chairs, magnetic letters, and privacy partitions! When the students walked into the room that morning and saw all the boxes, their jaws dropped and they were SO EXCITED to see what was inside they almost forgot to unpack and take their jackets off to start the day! Haha!
We have already started using all of the materials! The wobble chairs are a hit
with my little ones who struggle to sit still during the school day. I have already seen the tremendous impact it is having. They are able to wiggle around on the chair, and still be focused on their writing, reading, or whatever other task they are completing. The magnet letters have been a huge help too! We have so many centers that require letters (it's kindergarten!) and they kids are so excited to finally have a complete set of letters and not have to all pass around one letter when the rest go missing. One center they love is read, spell, write! They have sight words on popsicle sticks in a bucket. They have to pick a sight word, read it, spell/build it using magnet letters, and then write it with a dry erase marker! Now they will have enough magnet letters for more students to take part in the center! Also, the privacy partitions are really helpful when we have to take assessments, which are coming up, and also for some kids who just need a little extra help to focus when they are working. They love being able to put up the privacy partition and just write away!
One really special thing that is taking place because of your generosity is that my classroom is becoming a flexible seating paradise! Now that we have wobble chairs, that is one more way students can learn, even if they struggle to sit still (which even some adults struggle with)! I can really see the excitement in the children's eyes because of all our new classroom additions, and it wouldn't of been possible without all of your help! So from my class and I, THANK YOU!!!!”

Funded Nov 27, 2017Reading is so important - especially for students in kindergarten who are just learning how to read! It can be challenging sometimes to make students who struggle want to read, so having a listening center with various books to choose from is an extremely exciting thing for these youngsters! There are nonfiction and fiction books so students can decide if they want to be entertained by a fiction book, or learn something new from a nonfiction text! Having this center also allows them to follow along in the book with their peers, so they get to practice that skill as well!
This wouldn't have been possible without all the help from the many generous donors, so I want to say thank you so much for making this dream a reality for my students! You are the best!!”

Ms. Keller's Kindergarteners Need Your Help!
Funded Oct 3, 2017I cannot express enough how thankful my students and I are for the generous donations that have helped our class this year! Our class started using the materials right away and they are still loving it! Since we received brand new books for 4 different reading levels, the children have been able to read new books each week, and each time they reach a higher reading level. It really makes a child (or anyone, for that matter) feel good when they get the chance to read a brand new book!
Another thing that has really enhanced our classroom learning environment is the interactive word wall, thanks to the Velcro dots we received!! The children are enthralled each time they get to go up to the word wall and actively build their vocabulary and spelling. It is also a big part of our everyday lessons during reading and writing. When children are asked how to spell a word, they just can't wait to get the opportunity to go find the word on the word wall.
The children are so excited about these new materials so generously given to them. The color printer is definitely one of the donations that will be used and cherished for a long time! This will help with creating interactive, colorful and engaging literacy and math centers that the children will want to utilize again and again. Again, thank you so much and I can't wait for you to see what we do next!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Keller
