Hands-on centers for reading and writing will be used enhance and engage students in improving their literacy. Students will use the sentence building box to practice sight word fluency, vocabulary and bring hands-on grammar engagement into first grade as they gather on the rug.
By donating to this project, you will help my students bridge the gap of literacy by providing students with engaging activities that build their prior knowledge and ultimately help students reach high achievement goals.
I want my students to enhance their interests through reading about the latest science and social studies news.
Students will also be able to dig deeper into their interests by going online using the Scholastic online resources. Students will incorporate their knowledge into multiple learning areas; reading, math, writing, science and social studies.
