The students I work with learn best when language concepts can be brought to life. Both of the resources requested contain 3D objects that can be felt (one day when we are back in person) or seen through my document camera. My goal is to increase my student's functional vocabulary and emotional awareness. Emotional awareness and functional vocabulary will help them grow towards independence. The emotional vocabulary highlighted in the "Little Red Door" resource will help with independent emotional regulation. Effective emotional regulation is extremely important for successful learning and inclusion in less restrictive environments.
