My students are lion cubs who need nurturing and love to achieve success. Despite many of the difficulties they experience in their homes and community, their resilience is their strength. Each day they come to school with smiles on their faces and an eagerness to learn. They are open to the possibilities of success and willing to stretch themselves beyond their comfort zones as they are presented with physical, social, and emotional challenges in their Physical Education classroom. No matter what the activities are, familiar and non-familiar, they never say NO to the activity and play with enthusiasm. They bring a smile to my face and warmth to my heart every day.
