Stop the Chaos!
Funded Dec 3, 2024On behalf of my art class, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of headphones. Your support will make a significant impact on the learning experience of each student in our class.
Not only will the addition of these headphones block out unwanted noises which will allow them to concentrate, they will also allow our students to engage more deeply with multimedia content, including music, tutorials, and digital art resources, which are essential for their creative development. It's contributions like yours that help make our classroom a more vibrant and innovative learning environment.
We truly appreciate your commitment to fostering creativity and providing tools that enhance our educational opportunities. Your generosity will not only improve the quality of our lessons but will also inspire our students to continue exploring and developing their artistic talents.
Thank you once again for your kindness and support. We are deeply grateful for your contribution, and we look forward to sharing with you the wonderful outcomes that will come from this donation.”

Mrs. Kaczmarek

Funded Dec 8, 2023Thank you so much for your donations for my "Building Blocks of Art" project! One of my students had seen the box when it arrived last week and immediately came to let me know "the Legos are here!". They finally play with them for the first time yesterday, they were so excited!!!!
One boy separated all the blue ones out, while another used the "how to" book to make a duck... others built houses and bey blades. They were working together helping others find the right pieces and giving suggestions on what to add to their piece. When they finished, they all helped clean up and made sure all the Legos were put back into the box. I cannot what to see what other things their creative minds come up with.
Thank you again for your generosity and thinking about my kids.”

Architecture as Art!
Funded Jun 23, 2021Thank you so much for the "Architecture as Art" supplies! We learned about James Rizzi and his whimsical building drawings. We started by sketching up ideas and then used the supplies to create 3D representations of our buildings! They were so excited to get the opportunity to create 3D art. This was the first time using supplies like these! They were fascinated with the foam board scissors and how easy it cut the board. They even took the left over pieces and made smaller sculptures when they were finished.
I am excited about their enthusiasm for architecture and sculpture. I plan on incorporating more 3D art projects into the school year!”

Funded May 25, 2021Thank you again for donating to our "Art in Motion" project! I began the lesson explaining the Donor's Choose program and that I had applied for this project just for them. They immediately started asking who donated and were so excited that people gave money so THEY could do this project. I wish you could have seen the smiles on their faces, it was priceless! They worked very hard and really enjoyed a more "hands on" project. They also loved getting to use the metallic markers. This was a very different type of project for them and I look forward to creating more kinetic art with them!”

Funded Dec 11, 2018I was able to hang my light covers and set up my chairs as soon as they arrived. We received them right when we returned to school after Christmas, so the timing was perfect. This is a wonderful addition to our classroom that we get to enjoy the benefits of everyday...... all day. They definitely make a difference in the classroom by filtering the light. The chairs help tremendously with the younger students. They provide a quiet comfortable space for them to calm down and regroup when they need it.
When I brought the materials in, they were so excited. We rarely receive new things, so when the boxes came in they were all interested. They helped me hang the light covers, taking great care to make sure they were straight and covered the light completely. They loved the chairs and even the older students will sit in them when they need to remove themselves from distractions.
I have had these for about two weeks now and I have not heard a student ask to turn off the lights because their head hurts and it has seemed to have a calming effect on my room. I cannot thank you enough!”

Funded Feb 7, 2012We love our videos! Thank you very much for your generous donation of the "Meet the Artist" video series. I have always found it difficult to introduce different artist to the elementary students. These videos do a great job of telling about the artist in a fun, exciting and educational way. They help the students learn where the artist is from, artworks they have created and more importantly, they help put a face to a name. They were so excited when they came in and I had the videos set up. They watched so attentively and were very excited to do the art project that followed.
Thank you again for giving our art class that "extra something" that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to have.”

Funded Feb 3, 2012I was so excited when you helped fund our printmaking materials! For the last few years I have wanted to to do this project with my students. With limited budgets and a large number of students, it was impossible. We are limited in our access to art materials and my students often feel like we do the same things because we continuously use the same media. They were so eager to get the opportunity to do a project that was new and exciting! Their participation and creativity towards this project was overwhelming.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations and generosity to our classroom and school. It is encouraging to know that individuals and organizations care about the education of out youth.”

Funded Dec 23, 2011Words cannot express the appreciation I have for the LCD projector you have donated to our classroom. The attitude and participation of my students during my lectures says it all. For the first time in teaching at the alternative school, I had the attention of each student in my class. They were paying attention, interested and more importantly, participating in the discussion!
With declining classroom budgets, it is a blessing to have foundations and individuals like you that think of the needs of today's schools and students. If it wasn't for donations, our school would be unable to provide current technologies to improve student learning.”

Let's Trace!
Funded Oct 19, 2011Thank you for your recent generosity in donating funds so our classroom could acquire an opaque projector. The projector has already helped the students in several projects, which have turned out great! They are excited about starting their art projects and are no longer hindered by their ability to draw. I am impressed with the care and responsibility they exhibit when handling the projector, that is a lesson in itself!
Without donations such as this, less fortunate schools would be unable to meets the ever changing needs of our students. With these classroom materials we are able to reach a variety of learners so they can all be successful.”
