  • Linking the Arts into Kindergarten Curriculum

    Funded Aug 10, 2012

Thanks to all our supportive friends, we were able to start the brand new year with arts/crafts and fun activities to enhance our kindergarten curriculum. In our Friendship unit, children used the paper doll stencils to make characters that represented themselves. Students shared their art projects with great pride. After studying about bats, we were able to make windsock bats that hung in our classroom to decorate for the Halloween.

Our class love music and movements using scarves. Thanks to the new CD player and the creative music CD for scarves. We are having lots of fun dancing and exercising in the auditorium twirling and flying with the scarves.

Our class would like to send a big squeezy hug and a kiss to you. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kim

  • iRead with iPad

    Funded Jan 31, 2012

Big thanks to all our friends and families for supporting our technology project. Thank you so much Wasserman Foundation for funding half of the project. We are excited to work with this new technology as a part of our learning tool. Our class is just starting to download stories and educational games to play. It came just in time for our on line assessment. It is very convenient, since the pad can be taken to where it's needed. It's perfect for our little fingers to move the screen, We love it and we appreciate your help.”

  • Music Makes Learning Fun in Kindergarten 2

    Funded Dec 12, 2011

Thank you so much for funding the iPod and the speaker. It took me a while to download all the songs. We think it's really a cool gift. All 516 songs went into this little devise and I still have more space available. We use it everyday for all our morning songs, dance and movements, math and even for spelling. iHome is small and slender enough to put on the shelf and loud enough for all students to hear. You have made this wonderful technology come to life and into our classroom. We really appreciate all that you do for our children.”

  • Kindergarten Pugs Need a New Rug

    Funded Dec 7, 2011

What a colorful, big and beautiful rug! Thank you friends and families for all your donations in getting this rug for our class. My students were in awe when they walked in to the class. It had enough squares for all the students to sit in an assigned space. It brightened our classroom environment and the smell of a new polyester rug- we even love the way it smells! We use it to play games, circle time, and listen to stories. Our class appreciates your gift and promise to take good care of it for a very long time.”

  • No More Mouse in Kindergarten Class

    Funded Dec 5, 2011

Thank you for donating the HP TouchSmart computer to our class. Without the use of the mouse, we are learning to use the new computer by playing educational games with just a touch of a fingertip. Computer center is our favorite area to visit during free time. Donors like you have made a difference in the way we learn. Learning is so much fun because you have supported our project. Special thanks to the Wasserman Foundation for helping our education. We are very grateful for upgrading our classroom technology.”

  • Stable Computer Table

    Funded Sep 30, 2011

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The computer table was an awesome gift for our students. This sturdy table provides our students with plenty of elbow spaces. We can even sit four students to the computer center and everybody has access to the monitor. It makes it so much easier to move the table, since it's on wheels, to hook up plugs and other wires. Most of all, children aren't fighting to be the first one run to sit in front of the monitor. And that is what I like! You have made our dream come true.

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kim

  • HP Computer Wanted in Kindergarten Class

    Funded Mar 29, 2011

Thank you so much for partnering with us toward this wonderful computer. Your donations

have made all of us including the parents excited. Although it took some time to get it to work,

we are very grateful to use this new technology as our daily learning tool.

Our first project was to make a Mother's Day card using the Print Shop. Our

students were amazed at what they have created and how beautiful it looked.

We typed our thankful hearts on to the card and presented it to our parents. It really

made the students feel proud of their work. Your gift will be used to make many more

Mother's Day card for my future kindergarten students. With a thankful heart, we

would like to say," You are the BEST!"”

  • Impressionist Kindergarten Painters

    Funded Jan 20, 2011

Your generous donation has truly made a difference in our students' attitude toward their projects. Our self portrait project was the very first assignment that we wanted to print out to display. Everyone was excited and worked very hard to make it look like themselves. We took few pictures to show you how proud they were.

We just thank you so much for making it possible. You have made it possible for us to be able to print without worrying about paper jam or running out of ink. Our projects worth a million! ”

    With gratitude,

  • Kindergarten Farmer's Market

    Funded Jun 8, 2010

My students love the plastic food items to play at the "market".The dramatic play station is the most exciting place students want to go.Our Farmer's Market is also enjoyed by many students from other classrooms. We have not learned to count coins yet, but they are using the fake dollar bills to count by ones. With other add food items students are also pretending to cook at the kitchen play area. I could see that we might need to get few more registers for our enthusiastic cashiers. Few children told me they would like to work at Vons when they grow up! Thanks to generous donors like you, our Kindergarten Farmer's Market is a huge success!”

    With gratitude,
