I am lucky to teach in a great school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Working with small groups of students in Kindergarten through second grade, I am able to see huge progress and foster caring relationships with my students. Through goal setting, progress monitoring, and instruction in self-advocacy and social/emotional skills in addition to reading, writing, and math, I support students as they learn how to navigate their world and develop into productive and caring adults. My students learn to work through the things that are hard for them, to be proud of their accomplishments as well as provide help and support to others.
