Funded Aug 16, 2022Firstly, thank you all so much for your contributions to our classroom this year! We are so grateful to each and every one of you for your generosity. Our students have been using the "Maker's Space" as a writing center that is full with all of the materials they need to brainstorm, draft, revise, edit, and publish their writing. The maps have been used to introduce students to the geography of the United States and Western Hemisphere.
Our students were so excited when we opened up our writing center. These supplies have really allowed them to become more independent and take ownership over their writing!
We plan to continue using our writing center throughout the rest of the year as students begin writing literary essays, research reports, and argument essays. Lastly, we plan to use the math manipulatives to provide our students with visual supports when introducing fraction operations. Again, we are so thankful for your and all of your support!”

Interactive STEM Classroom
Funded Aug 13, 2019Thank you so much for your generosity! The school year has been off to an amazing start and our mathematicians and scientist are in love with these dry erase tables. They are constantly using them to represent their thinking, as well as collaborate with each other. When they first saw the materials they were in awe. "We can really write on these tables," they kept asking. Currently, we would love to get some more tables to accommodate both of our 5th grade classes. Again, thank you for your support - we truly appreciate you!”

Funded Jul 18, 2017Thank you so much for your support and contributions to our classroom! Our students use the materials on a regular basis. Each table has caddies with necessary materials such as pens, erasers, crayons, and post-its. We have a calendar that we use every single day for morning meeting to track the days of the week, weather, and days in school. Also, we have been able to create visuals for our students such as our role model board and word wall for their use and inspiration throughout the day.
Our students have been so excited to come to school and not have to worry about being unprepared for everyday lessons. With this, everyone is able to access the material in each subject! Students have pens for writing and revising during Writing Workshop. They have an interactive word wall with magnet squares to use during the day when they are having trouble spelling. They all also value sharing with one another and showing ownership over these materials with classroom jobs.
Currently, students are working on a classroom role model project. They are writing about Sonia Sotomayor. The pens, pencils, scissors, construction paper, and glue have been very helpful in creating wonderful visuals and being able to complete the assessment.
Many thanks for supporting our class. We truly appreciate you all!”

Ms. Kimberly
