  • Elementary Economics

    Funded Feb 11, 2013

I cannot begin to express to you the gratitude my students and I have for the donation of games and money manipulatives you donated to our classroom. Learning about money and economics by actually using coins and bills in real world situations has improved my students' knowledge by leaps and bounds. I love when my students beg to play the money games because I know they are having fun and learning without even realizing it. Now that is awesome education!

Thank you so much for making this learning environment possible. My students have taken their knowledge of money to a new level by designing their own games using the coins and bills. The creativity that your donation has inspired in my classroom is amazing.

I have come to realize that our students are full of so much potential. Your donation to my classroom has tapped into that potential and created such an excited atmosphere of learning in my classroom! Thank you so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Landers

  • Needing Nonfiction Texts

    Funded Nov 13, 2012

There are not enough words to express the gratitude my students and I have for the nonfiction books you purchased for our classroom. I used the books to teach my students how to take notes from the book they chose and then write a report. Next, each student designed a power point to accompany their report. Then, parents were invited to attend the presentations. The pride these students felt beamed from their faces. Parents were so impressed with the knowledge each student presented in their reports.

This entire event happened because you were willing to share with our classroom. The nonfiction texts are so important to learning. Thank you for investing in the lives of both my students as well as their parents. Giving my students positive experiences is such a great way to help them realize they have the power to choose what they want to be when they grow up.

Thank you so very much for your generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Landers

  • Fraction Action

    Funded Jul 9, 2012

This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The magnetic fraction sets along with the magnetic boards have made learning about fractions concrete for my students. The fraction games you provided have made learning this new concept fun.

Because of this donation, my students have made great gains on their daily work as well as their tests that cover this skill of working with factional parts. The mathematical skills my students learn today definitely lays the foundation for learning tomorrow.

Since finding the financial means to obtain all of the materials my students need is sometimes hard to come by, I want to express how thankful I am that you are interested in education. Without companies like yours, many classrooms would go without needed materials.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Landers

My third grade classroom is comprised of 11 boys and 12 girls eager to learn in a public school in Arkansas. Our school district is located in a low economic area. These students are full of energy and curiosity. Their minds are like little sponges soaking up all the learning they can possibly find. My goal is to continue to challenge them and help them become deep thinkers who can solve problems. Building a learning community that is fun and exciting makes students look forward to each school day.
