  • Learning All Around the Room

    Funded Nov 6, 2023

Thank you so much for your help getting my students the materials they needed to keep learning around the room.

Every week we have a "write and read the room" center and my students LOVE using their new clipboards. It's easily become one of their favorite centers because they can be anywhere in the classroom while learning.

They love having enough lap desks for everyone as well. We use the lap desks often during whole group math instruction and directed drawings, but the students love grabbing them for independent work time. Thank you so much for making this possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Goetsch

  • We Can Learn Here, There, Anywhere!

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

Thank you for helping me get more flexible seating choices for my students. The lap desks have been a huge hit during writing and Chromebook time! They love that they can move anywhere in the room and have a desk surface to work on with their scoop chairs, cushions, or while laying on their bellies. They work so hard during writing and Chromebook time because they love being able to use their flexible seating choices.

As for the bean bags, they have made our library area so cozy and comfortable! So many students love sitting in the bean bags to read, take a mental break, or just rest quietly after a hard day. They have been a game-changer. I can't wait to get more flexible seating choices to use in the future.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Goetsch

  • Getting Comfy With a Good (Chrome)Book!

    Funded Oct 11, 2021

Thank you for your help in getting some comfortable cushions and a charging station for my Chromebooks. My students have been able to utilize their Chromebooks in a much easier, independence way thanks to you. They love using the cushions at the tables while they work on a variety of math and reading programs. I've found computer centers to be much more enjoyable for them and for myself now! No more being uncomfortable while trying to learn or complaints from this crew! The new benches have been wonderful for holding out headphones as well! Thanks again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Goetsch

  • Cooking Up Memories in the Classroom!

    Funded Sep 18, 2022

Thank you so much for helping me get supplies for my classroom kitchen. We've been able to have a restaurant, a bakery, a Thanksgiving dinner, and more because of you! My students have loved working together in this center learning new vocabulary words and practicing their problem-solving skills.

It has also been a joy to teach them about restaurants, cafes, bakeries, etc as many of them missed the opportunity to dine out in public due to the pandemic. They are so excited to order, come up with menus, and pay their bills.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Goetsch

With the challenges of COVID quarantines, I need to be able to provide ways for my students to interact with books both physically and digitally. The rug will provide my students a designated area on my linoleum floor to read their library books. The blocks on the rug will help them stay in their own space while still being comfortable. Because most of my students have never been away from home, the best way I can help them transition to this new environment is by making it seem warm and familiar - the addition of the rug and floor cushions will do just that! We use our Chromebooks frequently in the classroom for differentiated activities, books & stories, assessments, and computer skills-based tasks, so fully charged devices are a must! The charging stations will also allow me to always have the students' Chromebooks ready in the event of a quarantine. With their batteries always charged, they won't have to wait before they get back to learning. In addition to making sure our technology is ready to go, I need to make sure our pencil-paper resources are always organized and ready at a moment's notice which is why the paper organizer will be so helpful! I'll be able to put each student's work in a designated place so I can easily grab it and make a work packet for those who have to stay home.
