  • Fuel Our Minds, Fuel Our Lives!

    Funded Oct 2, 2017

Thank you so much for funding our classroom project. Every time our class went to the office to pick up a delivery, my students were unable to contain their excitement.

I wanted to incorporate books about women in science to inspire the girls in my classroom and they are a hit! During free reading time, pairs of students are often sharing the books and reading together. My kiddos have loved using our new Lakeshore file folder games during small group rotations and as early finisher work. They don't even notice that they are reviewing previously taught topics :)

    We really appreciate your donations!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. V.

  • Flexible Seating for Flexible Minds and Flexible Learning!

    Funded Aug 4, 2017

Thank you so much for funding our flexible seating project. My students have had such a great time testing out our new classroom gear.

Having more options for seating while my kids are completing independent work has been great for both the students and myself. The standing desks have been a huge hit when students don't feel like sitting down. We also use them when we do our grade level Writing Lab in the school cafeteria. The black stools have traveled all over the school and are used consistently at our small group table. The plastic drawers have provided additional storage for student supplies around our room.

    We really appreciate your donations!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. V.

  • Send Mrs. V to Teach Your Heart Out 2017

    Funded Mar 29, 2017

Thank you so much for sending me to the Teach Your Heart Out conference. It was such an amazing experience where I met other teachers and teacher bloggers that had so much love for teaching. I was able to bring back so many ideas, whether it was diverse literature or how to use music in the classroom.

I would have to say meeting teacher blogger Teaching and So Fourth was one of the highlights for me. Her passion for music in the classroom was so apparent and gave me the courage to try educational songs with my own 4th graders.”

  • Full STEAM Ahead: Supplies to Support Our Imagination

    Funded Mar 7, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom. Once our project was funded and our supplies delivered, we were able to make over 15 mini STEAM kits that my students can take to their desks. We have been able to create and explore different ideas, complete STEM task cards, and have a lot of fun while learning. My students have been having such a great time using these kits and we have even shared them with our first grade buddy readers.

We really appreciate your support of our classroom.”

  • To Infinity and Beyond: 3Doodler Pens to Take Us Places!

    Funded Jan 24, 2017

Thank you so much for funding our 3Doodler pen project. My students were so excited to learn more about 3D printing and to make their own creations in class. These pens have opened up a whole new branch of technology for my 4th graders. I love seeing their gears turn as they struggle to create their project and then gradually get the hang out it.

The pens have become one of our favorite Early Finisher activities and are a big hit when we have indoor recess. One of the most surprising results is the sudden love of cursive writing and using the 3Doodler pens to practice.

Thank you so much for bringing some extra joy to our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. V.

  • Science is Everywhere: Labs that Travel Between School and Home

    Funded Feb 16, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous donations to our classroom. My students have LOVED these science kits. Before Spring Break, I was able divide the kits into enough smaller kits so each student was able to take one home over the vacation. Students have been able to use the kits when they have finished an assignment early and during indoor recess. The kits have allowed my students to explore and learn on their own terms and at their own pace. The robotics set has been a challenge for my students but it pushes them to think differently and try harder.

Thank you for bringing more science into my students' lives.”

  • Healthy and Happy Students are Great Learners!

    Funded Apr 7, 2017

Thank you so much for your generous donations. Little things like water bottles, healthy snacks, and toiletries are often taken for granted, but in our classroom, we are so grateful for them. Our "Brain Food" bin has been replenished, the first aid kit has an assortment of new bandages, and every student was able to take deodorant home in anticipation of the warmer weather.

As we enter testing season, I know that the snacks, juice pouches, and water bottles will come in handy, and the hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes will help keep germs away so we can do our best.

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom. Every donation means something to all 22 of my students.”

  • Wobble While We Work: Seating for All Learners!

    Funded Jan 30, 2017

Thank you so much for donating to our wobble stool project. We now have a total of 12 stools in our room and they are a huge hit with all of my learners. When my students have to work at their desks, students are able to safely move around in their seat without the risk of falling backwards. When we have visiting students from other rooms, they are so excited if they get to try a stool out. The stools are constantly being moved around the room, from the small group area, to the reading corner, and back to desks. They have made a huge difference in our class.

Thank you for supporting our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. V.

  • Classroom Upgrades and Updates

    Funded Jan 30, 2017

Thank you so much for supporting our classroom and our project. Our rug has been a great addition to our classroom and has become a favorite place for students to read, work on an assignment, or play a game. Students also like to sit on the rug and chat with friends.

We are huge fans of our class set of headphones. We use headphones at least twice a day and having a new pair for each student has been such a blessing. Our new USB charger allows us to charge several of our Kindle Fires at a time.

Thank you so much for helping our class.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. V.

  • Supplies for Self-Portraits and Super Art Projects!

    Funded Oct 18, 2016

    Dear Donors,

Thank you so much for your fabulous donation of art supplies to our classroom. My students started using them the day that they arrived! The class pack of colored pencils has been perfect for students that have a missing color in their own pack. My students have loved having the multicultural colored pencils too. The markers have been a favorite during indoor recess. All kids love brand new, juicy markers.

Thank you so much for your generosity. You have made our lives a little brighter.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. V.
